Summatime in the Warriors Land- But We Don't Got Them DOS!

It's officially summer time and you know what that means! It's time to break out the grill for some serious BBQ-ing. It's time to bust out the boombox and put on the Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff classic "Summatime".

It's also time for the NBA Summer Leagues. Make sure to check out Summer League Central over at Warriors.com. GSoM friend Pree dropped the offical roster earlier today and there's good discussion over in that diary.

Kelenna Azubuike G Kentucky
Toby Bailey G UCLA
Alpha Bangura G St. John's
Marco Belinelli G Italy
Lionel Chalmers G Xavier
Brian Cusworth C Harvard
Jerry Dupree F USC
Nate Funk G Creighton
Stephane Lasme F UMass
Mindaugas Katelynas F Tennessee-Chattanooga
Patrick O'Bryant C Bradley
Pierre Pierce G Iowa
Carlos Powell F South Carolina
Josh Powell F North Carolina State
Brandan Wright F North Carolina

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed that Cal product Rod Benson isn't on the Warriors' roster. Why? Straight up- BOOM GOT THEM THO!

[rzb0]

More on THEM DOS!

Anyone down for a little The Boom Tho Movement here at GSoM?
(Don't forget- movements are our specialty!)

UPDATE: Thanks to GSoM community member nativeson the movement has begun...

Boom Got Them Dos!
Dude has one of the funniest blogs around and the videos are off the hook. haha.

Rod
Haha his blog is the best.  One of the first things I did when I saw the summer roster Pree dropped was check if he was on it.

Wow..
Pierre Pierce in the lineup? He was a legit top 15 pick several years back, I think he got arrested for rape charges or something.

by BTT on Jul 4, 2007 1:29 AM PDT   0 recs

Pierce
Yeah, you're right..Pierce was arrested for rape but did his time.
Your memory serves you well, he was a balller with serious game a few years back. He's one to watch as well as the Katylenas cat out of Tenn-Chattenooga. This guy was an NCAA dunk contest winner and at 6'8 has serious hops.

Benson is...
...the answer the the great question, the truth to silence the lies, the light to shine through the darkness.

Also, he's a fleet footed, 6'10 forward, and we all know how useful those are.

Seems to me this is the likely roster at this point:

-Baron
-Monta
-Jack
-Al
-Andris
-Belinelli
-Wright
-Foyle (barring a lucky trade or buyout)
-Barnes or Pietrus (here's hoping Barnes)
-Kelenna
-POB
- ...?

I think Rod Benson could slide in there somewhere, don't you? He'd certainly get more minutes than Foyle and O'Bryant.

unfortunately
without him being on the summer league team, i dont see him squeezing in. you're right tho about stepping up in front of foyle, pob, and i'd even wager lasme.

heres to hoping he gets a shot somewhere. i'ma keep the BTM alive tho. Boom Tho Movement and Free Eddie House!!

Memphis
He made the Memphis summer league roster so i don't know about our chances now. Haha dam none of our movements have been successful.

Up for the Playoffs Part II Movement?
Hopefully, Rod Benson lands into a roster soon. The most important movement that we should push for is obvious: Playoffs Part II. It was just the beginning with ending that atrocious 12 year playoff drought last season. If we can improve upon last season, we'll definitely make our mark as one of the better teams in the league. Come on, Mullin. We're cheering for you all the way ;)
