So first of all, anyone who has not done so should check out youtube for highlights of Belinelli playing for Europe. J-Rich had the athleticism to play above the rim on a different level, and although Lil' Nelli may not have the same level of hops, he can bust a 360 dunk during a game.
Also, do the Warriors really want to trade for KG right now? Sure that would make them instant contenders, but what happens in three years when he starts losing his game? His value is just gonna go down. But the lineup would look sick for a few years; especially if we could keep AB.
But what about the potential Monta still has? He is still 21, and learning from one of the best PG's in the league. Everyone is so willing to trade him right now, but how many Monta Moments were there last year? And watch Wright develop into an a bad ass player with the length the team really needs right now. If Lasme can block shots like he did in college, that would be great. Trade Pietrus and POB for Darko and we now have some bigger guys to work with.
If Nelly gets the urge to change the team, they will be better to offer down the line. Does this look so bad?
AB/Darko/Foyle (I'd rather have Foyle than POB)
Then depending on how players do in the summer league, see who else stays and who gos. Make another trade or two depending on how Nelly feels while smoking a cigar and having a Bud Light and we're Golden. Harrington could also play as center, which we have seen.
Oh yeah, and what the hell is Zarko still doing on the team? I loved watching him at 6'11" drive the ball up the court, but when is he gonna heal?
Would we rather have the 7'1" Kosta Perovic, also a Serbian that we drafted last year and is ready to head our way.
So the real question is, do they invest in the depth with potential, or trade key players for an aging all-star.
