RUMOR: Bibby wishes to suckle upon Lebron's proverbial teet

Here's the link, bubs.

Far from official--noted. However, the Kings seem to only have interest in Drew Gooden. If indeed they were to somehow make this deal go down, it would create a rather large log jam in the King's frontcourt roster. This would almost certainly mean decreased playing time for the young, athletic rebounder Justin Williams. Admitted, he's far from a stud, but that doesn't mean we can't try him on for size. Also, it would create a hole in Sacramento's point guard spot.

Hello? Dump Sarunas, nab Williams. Ok wait, not so fast. First of all there's a trade restriction on Williams because they recently signed him. Second, the salaries don't exactly match. Maybe something can still happen...

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Not too surprising
Bibby to Cleveland was attempted at the deadline as well last year, to no avail.

The big problem is that Gooden is now pointless: Mikki Moore was recently signed to a multi year contract, adding to the frontcourt jam you mentioned, with Kenny Thomas, Shareef Abdur-Raheem, Brad Miller, Spencer Hawes, and Justin Williams all at the 4/5 spots.

Gooden isn't cheap, either with $15M due the next two years.

The Cavs are up against the luxury tax, and the Kings are over the salary cap.

If not Gooden + expirings (now dead, I assume), then what? Petrie would love expiring contracts, picks, and/or young players, but the Cavs don't have much youth to give (Gibson?) or expirings to send.

Were I Sacramento, I would have sent Bibby to Miami for the expirings of J-Will and Doleac, Dorrell Wright, and a first rounder if possible.

Now they don't really have too many options because teams have found their PG's already.

Questions? Complaints?
