This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

GSoM owns Warriors World
The frequency of articles comes in much faster, and the members there are the scum of the Warrior Community. (For the most part, anyway.)

It's where the GSoM rejects go
The last time I checked there, it was because of a link from a now-banished GSoM member who used to the lax rules on that site to call me a f*ggot or somesuch and rail against GSoM for being full of Asians. Yeah, "scum" seems to nail it.

On the other hand, every time I read Adam Lauridsen's excellent Ws blog, I wonder why I hang out so much here instead of with my fellow grown-ups on that site. I guess I'd just miss the silly webpins and discussions of uniforms and cheerleaders and stuff...

hehehehehe
sorry! i hope im not a GSoM reject?

well yeah i scrolled down the page and found it... for me the web site was kind of confusing, because here a gsom, they make it so much easier to understand how to do things, well... its more organized.

ha we should have a blog battle
with warriors world. maybe have like a competition at a annual gsom vs ww at the oracle and see who has better fans. though gsom wins hands down to me. or if no competition why don't we join forces and one day become GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS WORLD OF MIND!
What you thought that I only played basketball? I AM A Golden State WARRIOR!

I think 6 years and 1.6 million posts speaks
for itself.

We are all Warriors fans, grow up.

It's quality, not quantity
1.6 million posts doesn't seem that impressive when the majority of them are along the lines of: "lol," "lmao," "wtf?" and "stfu."

That said, I really haven't visited ww enough to make a blanket judgment. Some of the interviews that have been linked here are pretty interesting. As I said, I'm a little biased since my first visit was at the behest of a GSoM exile who used the site to call me gay (not that there's anything wrong with it) and to rip on GSoM for being full of Asians.

My general sense is this site makes a little more of an effort to be thoughtful and socially conscious as well as knowledgeable about hoops. It's a golden state of mind that seems to filter from the top (FJ, Atma, DJFL) on down. They're just good, well-raised kids, and they tend to attract similar types to the site.

by Sleepy Freud on Aug 18, 2007 6:51 PM PDT up reply actions

Then you haven't spent
any time at all on the site or understand what it is.  I don't moderate the site, it's a preference. It has been around for over 6 years, that says quite a bit right there.  Many of the posters have been around since Harold's board going on 10 years now.

GSOM filters to the top because they promote the heck out of it, everywhere, anywhere including on my site for over a year as they were starting out and I supported that.

My takeaway from your guys commentary.

A complete and total lack of respect for others in the Warriors fan community.

Del...don't mean to dis but..
A complete and total lack of respect for others in the Warriors fan community.
I don't understand this.  I think any negative comments (or just comments for that matter) posted here regarding WarriorsWorld are pretty few and far between.  Compared to the bashing GSoM takes on WW boards, it's nothing.  I view the posts on the WW board as well and I don't recall ever seeing anyone being called out for total lack of respect for other Warriors fans when they bash GSoM.

My takeaway from your commentary
You're a little bitter about something. Was it something someone said?

Personally, I have respect for everyone, Warrior fan or not, until they do or say something worthy of disrespect. I have absolutely no interest in subdividing the fanbase among "GSoMers," "wwers," "diehards," "bandwagoners" etc. I'm always saying the more the merrier. What I wrote about ww was admittedly biased and admittedly knee-jerk. From the little I've read, the posts on ww seem, on the whole, to be shorter and less thoughtful than the ones here. If that sounds like disrespect, my apologies.

1 dub!

i agree
with fitz, when he said that we should try to go and get chris duhon.

he's an underrated player, when it comes backup PGs, plus his salary is low.
