2007-2008 Warriors Schedule Released

I just wanted to say that this has to be the best Warriors forum out there. I have been on this site on a daily basis and love it. After snooping around for the schedule,  I finally found it. As a season ticket holder the wait is almost over. I cant wait for the season to start.

[Moderator's Note, by OptionZero] Our friend, pree, has dropped some analysis of Warriors schedule in his latest article. Thanks as usual for your work! Check it out, good reading.

wow
11 national televised games. Hopefully the Warriors do well this year because a lot of people may be watching.

Also
Jax is suspended for the first seven games and  5 of 7 are against last years playoff teams. Jax gets to come back in time for a 5 game road trip through the east and boston.

That's 20 games to be seen nationaly. I can't remember that last time we had so many nationaly televised games!!!!!!!!!

After the debacle
that was the Finals viewer ratings, they're showing all the games versus Dallas and Phoenix on national TV. Sweet.

Opener
It looks like there is some confusion on whether the opener against Utah is Home or Away.  The link above shows its in Oakland and if you look at the time of 7:30 that matches.  But if you look at this link on NBA.com, it has Utah being home.  And you would think since they beat us last year in the playoffs, they would have the privilege of opening up at home.

http://www.nba.com/schedules/?team=warriors

Also, the time we play them on November 3rd is 6:00pm so that leads me to believe that game is in Utah.  If thats the case, it also looks like we only play Utah 1 time at home, which seems odd.

All games are wrong
Upon further inspection, all the games are mislabled Home vs Away, so we will have to see which one is right.

OK
They fixed it, the original schedule is correct.

awesome
lots of national exposure, although, November 8th is the date i'm circling. We will dominate, we own.

Seems like they have a bunch of road trips
There are 2 5-game trips and 3 4-games trips.

However, in February, they'll play only one road game vs. 9 home games plus another home game at the beginning of March.

I look at February as to when the Warriors will make their playoff push.

i don't like 1 thing
about this schedule, cuz if we have to go win like 20 games out of like 25 like this year(not quite exact) then its a pretty hard end of the season especially since we play phoenix.

Bring on UTAH!
We are gonna show them who should've advanced! I'm hella excited for next year!

Not set in stone
I think the TV schedule will change...There's no way they are only going to have 10 Celtics games on TNT and ESPN now that they have the Holy Trinity.

And who the &^%$ wants to see the Lakers & Rockets over the Warriors and Jazz. That's stupid, but I guess they figure T-Mac can't miss the opener right?

YES!!!!!
I couldn't wait to see the schedule!!!

Wow, the offseason is really boring.

february
that will be a make or break month this year. 9 of 10 games at home.

I can't wait
Hopefully we'll dominate Dallas again once we play them. I also wanna see if we can proceed with our vendetta towards Utah in our opener.

What are the pre season games?
Its not that important, but I wonder who we are playing against during the pre season.

by ballin on Aug 2, 2007 2:56 PM PDT reply actions

the open up with a hard schedule
and close with arguable a harder one.

last 19 games would be against West coast teams. Alot of which are also in a playoff bubble.

Half of those will be away, including a 4-game Southwest road trip. Interesting.

My quick analysis
The Golden State Warriors will have plenty of home games at the end of the season to make a push for the playoffs, but will their brutal early schedule hold them back? http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_22937.shtml Breaking down back-to-backs, road trips, etc.
