Juwan Howard

He wants out of Minnesota, which is clearly in rebuilding mode.  So how about swinging Al to the twin cities for howard and McCants?
I guess it causes a problem for us in terms of total roster spots.  but I'm fine with sending POB down again anyway.  Howard could be useful inside, and still has some skills to about 15 ft.  and McCants is a great shooter who could backup Jackson.

DAMN I'm ready for this season to start again....

I'm not shure
about how Howard would fit our system at his age.Don't forget that he never played uptempo b-ball so why would he start now at the end of his career. We don't need shooters to backup Jax(Bellineli). So we would basicaly give up our starter for a veteran who can't play in our system and a shooter who take minutes from our rookie prospect.I don't buy it.

yeah
you're probably right.  I was just thinking about rebounding and interior defense, both of which I think howard would offer as an improvement on harrington.  I felt like last year harrington was the most expendable of our rotation (especially at that price).  and looking around the league, there really aren't that many more bigs who could be aquired.
I thought the Utah series demonstrated that there will be times when even Nelson wants to change the pace, and Howard might offer something....
ok, probably not

The
like 4 minutes of playing time Howard would get would not be worth giving what Al would bring for 30 minutes.

BTW
I think Howard is making something like 6.5 mil the next two seasons, so taking on his crap contract with the minimal production isn't worth it at all. We just got rid of our over priced bench warmer, no need to bring on another.

another diary with no substance or logic
Howard doesn't even fit remotely in the warriors style of play.  The only howard that should ever be talked about in the forum is Dwight, the hell w/ Juwan... Juwanna GTFO?

Haha
I like how McCants is treated like a throw in here. Why would they give us a pretty good prospect just to get rid of a guy who they don't really have to trade. I'm sure they will try to honor his trade request but not to the point where they have to give up any real talent.

The tyrant let it stand
I floated his name as a potential cheap moving part in a three-way deal for AK-47 in this diary.

I didn't actually imagine anyone would want Juwan Howard on the Warriors. Man, talk about a comedown from KG.

It all reminds me of that old "they wanted ... they would have settled for ... they got" game...

They wanted: KG
They would have settled for: AK or JO
They got: Austin Croshere ("KG 0.2")

or

They wanted: Dwight Howard or Josh Howard
They would have settled for: Juwan Howard
They got: Moe and Curly Howard

or

They wanted: Josh Smith or Josh Howard
They would have settled for: Josh Powell
They got: Josh Hartnett

or

They wanted: Obama
They would have settled for: Edwards
They got: Hillary

etc. etc....

It's
the typical diary about a has been with a recognizable name and all of a sudden he belongs on the Dubs. THINK PEOPLE, THINK.
