J-Rich on ESPN

Anyone watch the PITT Michigan State game?

J-rich was interviewed about the trade on the sideline. For some reason I felt that he appeared a little diminished in his spirit as he answered questions about the Bobcats. He put his heart and soul into the franchise.

Does anyone out there think J-rich will ever return to the warriors?

I guess I'm still withdrawling from his departure and this forum is getting a little slow. Hurry up training camp!

Hopefully the real warrior fans will welcome him back with a "J-Rich" chant when he returns to the oracle.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

without a doubt.
I will be cheering for J-Rich when he makes his way back to the Oracle.  J was a class act and deserves nothing less. In a time where team loyalty no longer seems to exist, he was the exception.  I am not just a fan of the player...I'm a fan of the man.

no way.
"Real Warrior Fans" root for the WARRIORS. Not for former warriors who play on different teams. I believe it is fine for all the J-Rich fans to voice their displeasure over the trade, and to wish him all the best over in the East. But when it comes down to Charlotte V. Warriors, there is no doubt in my mind that i want the Dubz to shut him down.

I find it really outrageous to declare "Real Warrior Fans" root for Jrich over the warriors. It really is. If you believe that, then you're not a warrior fan at all, and you should probably not be on this board in the first place. Go check out some Bobcats forums...i hear they're an up and coming team.

let me clarify
i agree with smokin joe, which is how i meant it to be which, after re-reading i might not have been totally clear.

I wish Jrich the best IN CHARLOTTE. Yes, he is people's favorite player, and you should continue to root for the guy.

But we have had comments on this board where some fans wanted Jrich to drop 50 on us and murder us up and down the court, which goes against every fiber of my being. It shows that those certain fans are only interested in slam dunks than the Warriors.

When i read this post i had instant flashbacks to those comments. I want Jrich to make the all-star game, even an All NBA First Team, shoot i even hope the Cats' make the playoffs, so as long as the warriors shut him and the cats' down when WE play them.

I just wanted to clarify my feelings on this subject. And i do hope that this is the last Jrich "i miss you" posts.

everybody
certainly has their own opinion -- and i really dont agree with yours...

i mean, you know im all for the warriors winning every game possible, but it doesn't make me any less of a fan to wish the best for a player who stood by was with such loyalty for a long time.

go warriors! go j-rich!

It just sucks that
Only the rich people who sit in the very front rows will be able to actually talk to J-Rich and wish him the best when the 'cats come visit the dubs.

by Golden Boy on Sep 19, 2007 4:45 PM PDT reply actions

not true...
You can come to the arena hours before game time and make your way down there court side. I bet he'll be down there warming up before the game. You can stand there behind all the rich people and say anything you want.
This is my team There are many like it But this one is mine. My team, without me is useless. Without my team, I am useless

I agree
with JD and Turbulence I mean J-Rich did not want to be traded and got the rug pulled under from him,he wanted to remain a GSW and i believe that alot of fans will always consider him one.You can help but to admire and cheer for a player like that, when Fisher was a GSW and the Dubs played in LA,Faker fans cheered for him.

lol
where have you been.

duh everyone misses him.
duh he put his heart and soul into the franchise
duh we all will cheer for him loud and proud and wish the best for him

lol im not makin fun of you, but just about everyone on this site has expressed all of the above.  As for returning to the warriors.  doubt it.  i mean it could be possible in like 5 years maybe, but dude we gotta get over it.  i wish he would just come back man, but he won't.

saw that
Saw the Michigan State game. No doubt he was kinda sad, but he knows that it's part of life.
He was also stretching the truth about about the bobcats, but it's not like college football fans care about the NBA.

WELL
i was and am as big a JRich fan as the next guy, but i'm not gonna root him on to light up the Warriors, because first and foremost i'm still a Warriors fan.

I don't mind if he and the Bobcats have their best NBA season ever, individually and as a team so long as the Bobcats LOSE when we play them.

GO WARRIORS!
