Warriors Trailblazers altercation years ago

Hello everybody. Longtime GSOM reader, but just recently joined.  Anyways, I was wondering if there was a newspaper article or video of when the Warriors got into that huge brawl with the Trailblazers. I remember the main participants were Chris Mills and Rasheed Wallace, and that the Blazers went into the stands to deal with the fans. Then when the Blazers were trying to leave, the rumor was that Mills was standing in front of the bus with a gun, preventing them from leaving. My friends dont believe that this ever happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

While Wallace and a group of Blazers celebrated at midcourt, the scuffle was touched off when Warriors swingman Chris Mills and Blazers small forward Bonzi Wells, both of whom were standing under the basket after Wallace's shot, jawed at each other chest to chest.

Television replays showed that the two shoved one another, after which Warriors power forward Troy Murphy demonstratively jumped to Mills' defense.

Warriors shooting guard Jason Richardson, coach Eric Musselman and Trail Blazers forward Ruben Patterson, among others, entered the fray as both teams moved underneath the basket and inched closer to the fans. Richardson threw a punch at Wells, according to television replays. Also, it appeared one Warriors player grabbed a folding chair during the pushing and shoving.

I'll tell you what happened
There was a fight just like you said, after the buzzer, troy murphy was involved too, (which was why i respected him so much more than dunleavy).

when it was done, some stupid fan spit his game at rasheed wallace, he charged him, but the security (seeing as how we are the bay area and not the auburn hills nazi police), realized that the fan was totally disrespectful for doing so, and they beat his a$$ and arrested him.  rasheed was fined, but how can you really take more action on a guy who's trying to leave a fight and gets spit on by a fan?

i remember that very clearly, i brought it up in many posts here on GSOM when people were attacking stephen jackson about his brawl at auburn hills, (which is not the same as detroit).

I remember the gun incident...
It was never confirmed.  Reports said that Mills was known for carrying a gun.  When he parked his car and stood in front of the bus, he was wearing a long coat and was suspected of having a gun hidden in his waist.  He didn't flash it, and nobody saw it, so it was purely speculation.

i remember that
mostly because wallace hit a game winning jumper at the buzzer. i turned off the tv in disgust and turned it back a minute or so later and saw a bunch of guys fighting.

i could have sworn
it was after rasheed's buzzer beater over foyle and bonzi wells and chris mills got into it first... then murphy and sheed.. and chris mills waited in front of the bus and called his boys (from what i hear).. that's veteran leadership at its best baby
