Sucks that the warriors are only rated 74. They only beat the best team last year but the Mavs did get bumped all the way down to a 76. I like that Al Harrington has his mohawk and that there are personalities like Stephen Jackson will be crazy.

that kinda sucks

I love playing 2K7, and tear it up with JRich, slice with Ellis, and even dunk with POB. I was hoping that the Rookies might help the teams overall score, (I can hope), but 74 is just about where they are in the last game. Hopefully Wright, Lasme, and Bellinelli will show their worth and up the score a little when they update it. My heart soared last year when the update with SJax and Al came. Heck, even Roonie could bust some threes.

Back during the playoffs

I recall someone on IGN ran a simulation of the playoffs and we made it into the finals. What ever happened to our rating since then?

I read this yesterday and almost posted it. I can't wait for 2K8 to come out next week.

On a related gamer note anybody picking Halo 3 today? I was considering making a Xbox 360 Gamertag exchange diary. Let me know if you would be interested in playing with other GSoMers on XBOX Live. If there is a good response I will make a diary where we can post our Gamertags.

Honestly, is Baron Davis really an "Unpredictable" personality along the lines of Zach Randolph or Ron Artest. I think he's more "Expressive" than anything. I do like how they nailed the fact that Azubuike and Biedrins are "Laid Back". This game seems to be full of details. Also, I think the individual player ratings are better than 2k7. That's a pretty solid starting lineup. We're also ranked 16th in terms of rating which makes sense.

If most of our starters are at lvl 80 + shouldnt our team rating be at least that high? Maybe they calculated the teams rating based on all the players.

Maybe instead of upping our ratings, they decided to place the Mavs ratings lower because they lost to us... <== no respect for GSW!

for 2k8 nba live 08 and fifa 08. i don't have a 360 but my cousin has one and our cousin works for microsoft so he is hooking it up with games. he already got halo 3 today in the mail. i am just too excited so i had to share this. and im getting vista ultimate and xp pro+ms office 07 for free tomorrow too. the gay thing is that the 360 is not the much cheaper only like 75 bucks so i have to wait to find one. anyone selling their 360?

Not to be a downer, but if you think something is stupid, you probably should try not to describe it as "gay." That stuff hurts people's feelings.

Is there really not going to be 2k8 on the Wii? That sucks! Did anybody play Metroid? Good stuff, huh? Next up, Rockstar Table Tennis!

WOW. This is the best soundtrack ever. They've mixed a lot more different things, which they define as "eclectic". It is SICK. WOW. I am so excited.

And for you LIVE 08 fans, you can download a demo on the web or on xbox live right now. Although, 2K8 is a better game and they gave a lot of love to BD in their ads!

for nba 2k8 isnt that good. other than common, talib and run dmc, there aint many good songs. they shouldaput some lupe fiasco or different Common songs.

its a long soundtrack, hopefully u'll change ur mind, it makes it more meaningful that J dilla died and thats why they put his name first on a lot of the songs out of respect, it will be a classic album, best one in several years.

If you don't know who Dilla is... he's one of the great wonders in Hip-Hop and perfecting the perfect beat... I'm gettin the 2k8 soundtrack on vinyl if it drops

2K7 looks freakishly good for the PS3 at 720p, this is supposed to look better along with more difficult AI. I'm going to take 1/2 day off of work on 10/2 to play 2K8.

I only have a PS3

but I can wait until next Tuesday considering I've waited all summer using my manually adjusted rosters.

I swear the PS3 is a flawless piece of equipment, I've had it since January and I have zero complaints. I'm still trying to figure out what all the negative publicity is about.

Games... lol theres not enough games

I don't have $500 bucks to buy the system and If I did, the nly games i'd want is Virtua Fighter 5, Resistance and MLB the show... I'd get NBA 2k8 on a PS3 but 99% of my friends are on xbox live maybe when a ps3 drops to $199 I'll consider....

I only play MLB, NBA , GTA and Resistance

so the game thing doesn't matter that much to me. That's a somewhat legit criticism but that gap will close with time.

I don't know how you guys find the time to play so many different games. Even when I had the original Nintendo, I only really played sports games, Metroid and Zelda. But the games are so deep now, you could play them forever.

The PS3 also a great Blu-Ray player and upsconverts regular DVDs.

It also depends on who you play games with

... If you've been to a Tony.psd 2k NBA shoot out at the crib we've been doin' if for 3 years now. Everyone has there own style of play... it ain't just run and gun, we just go all out and put money down sometimes! Yea you can play on-line but we'd have bbq's, ping pong, booze and hash... couldn't complain.

I've also been a huge supporter of the xbox... I just dig it. Yea I'm talkin smack about not havin' ends to buy a PS3 but u know... sooner or later I will. When games like God of War 3 and Street Fighter 4 drop, I'll give in. We just gotta Wii and its major. Everyone from my mom and Grandma is playin' it! PS3 right now isn't something wifey and I would bond with. Also- Halo 3 is out and it's killin' it majorly right now.

negative publicity

to me it boils down to taking shots at the big dog. sony was the king last gen with the ps2 so everyone wants to shoot for them and tear them down. i have to agree that the ps3 is flawless

PS3 vs XBOX 360

Honestly you can't go wrong either way. I spend a good amount of time on both systems and they each have their strong and weak points but they both rock.

As a matter of preference I prefer 360 but that mostly has to do with my taste in games (I love the 360 exclusives, Halo, GOW, Bioshock...) and my love of the Xbox Live service. I must say that with all the 360 hardware failure I've experienced I could see how people would pay a little more and pickup a PS3, it is truly impressive.
