Golden State of Dreams

THIS IS MY FIRST ENTRY SINCE JOINING GSOM AN HOUR AGO.. DONT BE HARSH. POSITIVE FEEDBACK IF POSSIBLE. There's many downsides to the Warriors for me.

DON'T HATE ON ME.
This is not intended to go down as a hate call(if that makes sense to the warriors.
I just think it's bad what the major basketball franchises are doing to US, (yes i mean us as in GSW).
It may be good not to get all the hype bigger franchises do, but for me, In Australia, it has way to many downsides... DREAMS I HAVE TO DO IN MY LIFE.(TO DO WITH THE WARRIORS). SEE A LIVE WARRIORS GAME. BUY AND WEAR A WARRIORS JERSEY. BE FRIENDS WITH ANOTHER WARRIOR FAN. MEET A WARRIOR. MEET ATMA BROTHER #1 MEET A FELLOW GSOMER

Star-divide

DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ.
(IF THAT MAKES SENSE)
IM NOT FORCING ANYONE
BUT IT'S HOW I FEEL.
SO IT'S KINDA IMPORTANT ...RIGHT...RIGHT.
IF ANYONE ELSE IN AUSTRALIA OR EVEN THE US
FEELS HOW I FEEL READ AND DROP ME A COMMENT.

I WISH I HAD FSN BAY AREA.

The major franchises are killing in Australia right now and i can't take it.

I get 3 maybe 4 GSW games on TV(CABLE/PAY TV) a year, but other teams Such as The LA FAKERS, Miami Heat(dont know a nickname), San Antonio BORES, Phoenix Suns(yep) and the Dallas Mavericks(CHOKE) Get all the buzz. And at least three of these teams are guarenteed to be on tv EVERY WEEK. Some times even twice.

During the year the draft was televised both live(which is during the time i am at school) and at night. So i had a few of my mates that are into basketball to watch the draft at night, All of my friends are into big market teams, Houston, Phoenix, Dallas.

The NUTJOBS at ESPN chose to show picks !!!!1 through 17!!!! GSW having the 18th pick. After that they showed all the big market teams picks then showed the final two and stopped the coverage.

Also during the year there was a promised broadcast of GSW PHILLY the one with Azubuike's game winner on our foxsports. I was really excited to see the game my mom said i could stay back from school for a period.(YEAH I DO WHAT MOMMY SAYS) they then changed the game at the last minute to DALLAS MILWAUKEE. Milwauke is huge in Australia because of Andrew Bogut.
ARGHHHH!

ALSO WE GOT NO GAMES SHOWED IN THE PLAYOFFS.
Even against Dallas who are a huge team.
NOT TOO BIG OF COURSE.
MOSTLY SHOWING SAN ANTONIO VS PHOENIX GAMES.
I WAS UPSET AND THERE WAS AN UPSET.
nah i dont like the word upset id rather use the word OWNAGE.

And a last pointless note
ONCE IN A WHILE I AS A WARRIOR FAN
WOULD LIKE TO...
Be able to sport a GSW JERSEY flash it around rub it into some mavericks faces.
BUT I CAN'T
I've looked in EVERY(i mean every) sports store in the ENTIRE CITY OF MELBOURNE(it's a city in Australia LOOK IT UP) and not one store sells Golden State Warriors Jerseys.(NOT ONE).
I get them to ring up there suppliers and order them in and the STORE MANAGER says the "Golden State WHO".ARGGHH
i spell it out to them they right it down and the factories dont even supply them.
THE HAVE like 20 KB24 jerseys hanging up they have NASH MARION AND AMARE ones.
they have LEBRON ones, DIRK ones, AI AND MELO.

WHERES BARON
WHERES MONTA
WHERES JACK
WHERES AL
HECK WHERES BEANS

I JUST "DREAM" I HAD THE SAME OPPORTUNITY YOU GUYS IN THE US

SORRY ABOUT THE LONG POINTLESS DIARY BUT IM ANGRY

DONT FORGET TO DROP A COMMENT IF YOU FEEL SIMILAR OR COMPLETELY OBJECT

IM NOT JUDGING ANYONE AND IM NOT SURE WHAT THE US IS LIKE SO IM JUST (KINDA) GUESSING.

Hi
All ive got to say is that in England we get 1 or 2 games of the Warriors shown on TV so think yourself lucky with around 4!
And i think you should stay off the coffee a lil :)

that's unfortunate man
I have family that live in El Salvador, and they went thru the same thing with the 49ers for a long time.  Maybe you could get the radio broadcast via the web or something...?  Sucks man.  And you can buy your jersey online w/ease I think :)

wow this diary makes me think...
heck right now I complain when a warrior game is not broadcasted in HD. I couldn't imagine not being able to watch all the games. never stop being a dubs fan, Doom. hold down the We Believe movement in Melbourne   until local t.v. authorities come to their senses. it's a shame you are forced to watch Heat basketball...i feel for you.

I feel ya!
I live about 10 min. from Oakland so I can't complain about not seeing them.....
What I CAN complain about - is the lack of merchandise for women. My youth medium Baron Davis jersey is getting TIRED!
If you look for Lakers gear for women they have dresses - cute hoodies - hats - they even have shoes!
I know that is not what is important but that is my pet peeve about being a smaller market team.

Easy solution.
Anger problem - Zoloft or Paxil.

Jersey problem - Ebay or Amazon.

Watching the game problem - myp2p.eu

Watching a game live problem - www.southwest.com

Not having money to watch the game problem - www.bodogsports.com

This team is croosh.

Thanks Guys
Thanks for the comments and its good to see some care.

its also good to see some feel the same way living in other countrys.

I really cant afford shipping from ebay and amazon and the hefty prices of the nba.com store as i am still in school. (Im in my mid teens)
But i just got my first job and i am saving for a W's Jersey.

I share a computer with my family and we have limited download highspeed internet and im unable to stream videos.

Also thanks for the concerns about my anger problem but i am really pretty placid,
I just like "CAPSLOCK" and "!!!!" heaps.

And the "ARGGHS" are frustration.

I wish i lived in the bay but as RC650 said "hold down the We Believe movement in Melbourne" and that is what im gonna do.

I can't beleive they have basketball in HD there, that hasn't even been done here yet although im hearing it will soon be here not for ball though.

Thanks again for your thoughts guys and girl.

channelsurfing.net
For what it's worth, you can stream some of the games on channelsurfing.net. I use it when I'm out of town (or the country). It works pretty well (when it works, sometimes for some reason the streams don't work properly), but it gets the job done.

livin in SO CAL is HELLLLA gay
I live in southern california, and unfortunately didnt order the league pass at  the beginning of the year (defintely doin that next year...) but yeah it sucks. I get to watch every game the LA Fakers play which i only do cuz for fantasy bball, but warriors games are few and far between. When Natl. stations such as TNT and ESPN play games they usually always have teams like LA, san antonio, and phoenix playing in them. I wish i had a nickle for every time I had two channels playing the lakers game at the same time.

until California realizes that the GOLDEN STATE warriors should be the only team in CA, i will have to stick to listening to the games on NBA's audio league pass.

No-one will probably read this but I just wanted to say that the My P2P forum is amazing and it is basically like having League Pass because you can see all League Pass games on it. It means I can watch about 70 games a season rather than 1 or 2 and I watch all road games and some home games (though I am 8 hours behind in the UK and home games tip-off at 3.30AM local time). I am a person who doesn't really need much sleep compared to others, I often only sleep 3-4 hours on weekdays even when I have school the next day.
I use a laptop to watch the games while I'm in bed and I sometimes fall asleep but then I can watch them the next day when I get back from school on LP Archive from My P2P forum. I also normally watch NBA TV Daily and NBA TV Fantasy Hoops when I get home as they are free to watch on NBA.com. I understand that for people who haven't got high-speed connection, you can't do this (you might be able to listen to radio coverage though).

Basketball in the UK is supposed to be getting bigger and bigger and David Stern wants to hold more pre-season games here in future. Team GB is hoping to qualify for the 2012 Olympics and have Luol Deng and (hopefully) Kelenna Azubuike (probably my favourite player though I like Belinelli too as I am half-Italian) and Ben Gordon to help them do so. I saw the Celtics-Timberwolves game in London and it was a decent game but the British people really aren't (I don't think) as interested as people think about basketball. Many didn't understand it and booed when teams ran down the clock at the end of each quarter. Compared to the atmosphere of Oracle Arena where I went to in February as I visited relatives in the Bay Area; it was quiet inside o2 arena, normally buzzing when it hosts concerts and other events and it wasn't even full up.

NFL is the most popular American sport in the UK and fans filled up Wembley, a massive stadium to watch the Giants play the Dolphins. I don't mind NFL but I much prefer NBA and there are very few English NBA fans who actually watch games and follow the NBA regularly (no thanks to the TV companies who show just 1 game a week) - me and UKGSWfan are probably almost the only two Warriors fans in the UK.

If you want to feel part of the GSoM community DoomBizzle, buy something from the GSoM store. I bought a badge and a black GSoM All-Star T-shirt which came yesterday and they are both great. I love the T-Shirt and it is good value for money considering it had to be shipped a long way too.

Also, this is a suggestion to Atma and all the guys at GSoM who are doing a great job to maybe have a page where people can talk about the store, what they have bought etc. because I'm sure there are people like me who've bought products from there and really liked them.

about GB hopes
dunno -sounds pretty optimistic

-here are just 5 spots for Euro teams to olympics
and so many great teams
-i can even say that Euro championship is not worse then World championship
-Spain
-France
-Lithuania
-Greece
-Russia
-Serbia & Montenegro
-Croatia
-Italy
-Germany

nothing big will changes until '12
-just Germany will go down because here is no one for them who can replace Dirk and he is getting older

-i can't imagine way how GB team can go to Olympics -first of all they have to go to Euro final -when was last time they were here?

Latvia team had played against UK and what i remember since those games was -not smart and very  physical bball (almost 10 naturalized players)

no offense -just sounds unrealistic
-wish you luck
