Getting Baron to the All Star Game

I read an interesting blog by Geoff Leppers, the Warriors beat writer for the CC Times.  He suggests the best way to get Baron to the All Star Game is by voting (often) for Steve Nash.

We all know Baron deserves to go but the odds are pretty long if T-Mac is voted in as a starter.  That is why Geoff is suggesting voting for Nash.  It is an interesting strategy and might be the only way to get Baron to New Orleans.

No Love for the Dubs
From Webber, Jamison, J Rich to now Boom Dizzle, the Dubs rarely get any All Star love.  Even now when we have a good squad we get beat out by the likes of TMac.  That's like when Ken Griffey Jr. gets voted onto the All Star game when as usual he is hurt and hasn't even played the majority of games.  It's all good I guess, BD doesn't need to be playing any extra minutes or be traveling anymore than he already is.  TMac?  That dude was so 5 years ago.  Same with Vince Carter.

the other dairy told me to vote for AI and Baron

I think that's the diary I started
at the time I wrote it Iverson was 3rd and Nash was a close 4th. Really, you could've just voted for both Iverson and Nash as a combination vote for Baron...

ugh.
WHO CARES.

The whole tone of commish's post is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm bitter cuz he's not going, but I don't want him going because he'd get hurt anyways and whatever.

Stop crying. He's not going, and if he goes, votes aren't gonna have a lick to do with it. Coaches will put him in.

Thank you
he goes, votes aren't gonna have  lick to do with it. Coaches will put him in.<

FINALLY, someone agrees with what I've been saying all along.

i agree about the "who cares" sentiment,
but you're kind of missing the point - which is that w/ nash in over mcgrady (assuming mcgrady is healthy by next month) that increases baron's chances of being selected by the coaches.

instead of each coach punching in Nash, Paul, and either (roy, dwill, bd, ginobili, parker, iverson), it'll be paul and 2 others.

that's also the reason to pick nash over iverson. since nash is pretty much guaranteed to get voted in by the coaches while iverson is not - especially if the nuggets drop to 9th or 10th out west.

but unless at work wasting company time, at this point, it's not worth the effort.

I have no idea...
why everybody always plays this no respect card.  Though this may not be a popular opinion, Baron IS going to the All-Star game.  The season he is having is in no way comprable to J-Rich's and Jamison's all star "snub" seasons, when they were simply good players on bad teams.  Baron Davis is far and away the best player on a GOOD team (yeah, we're good now, it's not 2003), and every coach and sportswriter knows that he will be on the team.  One of the reasons I've stopped posting on this site is beacuse of all these random negative/ defeatist new posters.  Check any all-star team that is projected by any NBA insider, and Davis is on it...The sky isn't falling, get over it...peace, dan

the blog post makes sense except....
it's AI not Roy that is Baron's biggest competition.

the way I see it
there are 2 guard spots and 2 anything spots available, so a total of 4 guards can go.

Nash, Paul, and Iverson are going for sure. Nash and Paul are obvious. Iverson is arguably having his best year of his career and it'd be crazy for him not to go.

I would think Baron would be the best of the rest, but who knows how the coaches decide who to vote for.
