Al Harrington might need Offseason Surgery?

Just stumbled across this short blurb on Hoopsworld. The headline says he will need offseason surgery but later it changes its tune.

You will have to scroll about halfway down.

...

It turns out that a knuckle at the base of his right index finger was injured when New Orleans guard Chris Paul slapped away Harrington's hand-check Jan. 4. Harrington said he thought the finger might have dislocated momentarily and then popped back into place. It feels somewhat like an injury he sustained three years ago.....Harrington plans to have the knuckle examined more closely after the season.

So its obviously not bad enough right now to cause serious problems. But it is something to keep on eye on and monitor from this point forward.

I've never had a dislocated finger on my shooting hand before, but I would imagine at times it could be quite bothersome on catching passes and shooting the rock.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

i dislocated
a finger on the middle knuckle of my shooting hand not too long ago. It sucks. It was on my ring finger so it doesnt affect shooting too much, but does hurt alot doing other things, especially dunking or receiving a hard pass. Its something that you can live with so i dont see Al missing any time for it.

I would imagine
I would imagine that having it on your index finger would affect your shot a lot more tho, and Al's seems to be his index finger.

Too bad it doesn't only hurt
when he's hand-checking people. Dude gives up the most pointless three-point-plays in the history of forever by just resting his hands on people.
