Rumor: Pietrus to Orlando
keyon dooling, carlos arroyo and jj redick maybe on the trading block? who you take in trade for MP2?
heres a couple snipits from the article:
Could a Magic team that has been strangely inconsistent for weeks be shopping Dooling, or even point guard Carlos Arroyo, who moved into the starting lineup four games ago? The Magic aren't allowed to comment on players on opposing teams, but they are keeping their eye on the availability of Golden State small forward Mickael Pietrus.here's the link

I'd take Arroyo
getting paid $4mil on an expiring contract.
A trade of Pietrus + Hudson's contract for Arroyo could work in theory. If we can get productive minutes out of Brandan Wright, losing Pietrus' minutes shouldn't affect us much.

A RESOUNDING YES!!!!
I mean, who are these random guys who always seem to make bad descisions and are always on the trading block? Petruis? Petrius? Whoever they are, they aren't Adonal Foyle.
Oh, Mr. Pietrus! I'll give you guys a good trade scenario.
Pietrus for Dooling and Foyle, we use our Ike Diogu Trade exception. Dooling becomes the backup pointguard, and Adonal our All-Star Center. Meanwhile, Orlando gets rid of the logjam at PG, and get an athletic swingman to replace Trevor Ariza. BOOMTOUGHACTIN'TINACTINIT'STHROUGH.

Arroyo
Arroyo isn't a great outside shooter, but he's gonna get into the paint and run your offense, distribute the ball. While we usually don't rely on a PG controlling the game when Baron sits (instead relying on high post and isolation), ....that's lead to alot of stagnant possessions.
A competent PG will get the ball where it needs to go, and direct traffic. You saw last night how Chandler, without any moves of his own, dropped 20 just by being given the ball in the proper spot. Biedrins got 20 the same way. A good point guard will do that.
Our offense will be a million times more efficient if we were dedicated to moving the ball inside to Biedrins, Harrington, and Wright, instead of Jackson hoisting bricks.
A Golden state of mind Indeed.

Exactly.
If the Warriors get ANY opportunity of a Pietrus for Arroyo trade AT ALL, it should be immediately done. I mean, theres simply no reason not to get rid of our generic swingman who is in a sort of log jam for the PG we always wanted.
Arroyo-Davis would be one of the best tandems in the league, IMO.

Preferably id take foyle in that trade
arroyo would be a solid pickup though, a point who like to attack the rim and distribute more than putting up jumpers, just what we need when baron is on the bench. Id imagine he can run the break with the best of them, not sure about his defense though, never really watched his D

Arroyo gone leaves only Nelson
Pietrus is underwhelming this year, but he should have more value league wide. If you CAN get Arroyo, the Warriors should do it obviously. He's at least a solid backup, and you need one with Baron's injury history.
JJ Reddick is an evil Dukie, but he'd hit open 3's better than BellyNelly. I don't think it's fair value for Pietrus, but what do I know. If only the Heat had someone the Warriors wanted... but then again, someone like the French Michael Jordan would drive Riley nuts. Riley is due to quit any day now though, so perhaps it's a moot point.

it's funny
I've read on ESPN.com that somewhere around a dozen teams have shown interest. Perhaps these teams read GSOM and think they can get Pietrus for a bag of peanuts...
