Monta's New Nick Name...

Well for those of you still sad about the short-term lose of Monta Ellis here is something to hopefully make you chuckle. How does the name "Scooter" sound instead of Mississippi Bullet...Its much shorter and actually has a deeper meaning to everyone in the warriors community. no doubt.

P.S. im glad to be back in the golden state of mind community after my recent blog screw up. those of you up into the late hours waiting for ESPN to talk about how monta would be back within a month know what im talking about...

I'm fine with that nickname

That would be a great nickname for him if he came back and became one of the best players in the league. It would give us a laugh reminding us of how scared we “were” when he hurt himself.

But, if he comes back and sucks… and doesn’t get any better, then the nickname “scooter” would just be an insult to him and make most Warriors fans feel the suck again. =[

What I mean by that is kinda like what Gilbert does when he wears the number zero. He was told that he’d play 0 minutes in the NBA (or something like that), so he decided to wear the number zero in remembrance. If Monta comes back and becomes good, Warriors fans can start calling him “Scooter” for the same reason.

I like it

but Monta has such a cool and distinctive name that a nickname is hardly necessary. I mean, only guys with lame names like Paul Pierce need nicknames :)

It’s like Kobe giving himself the nickname “Mamba” but nobody uses it because he’s Kobe.

Sidenote: I can’t stand Kobe and his theatrics. Like when he put his finger to his lips after the pivotal 4-point play in the Olympic gold medal game… that was just an obviously scripted dick move.

think of the possibilities

we could say “the moped drives to the rim,” or after a hard foul, “the moped crashes hard” there’s really no downside here. unless, as was suggested, he never is the same and we just end up thinking about how crappy he became after the crash.

I hate Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle, and Russel Peters because they make fun of white people like me. They also make fun of other kinds of people, which hurts me deep down because my ancestry is so mixed that I don't know what my official "race" is... so I get offended for all races!
