S JAX WANTS MARBURY!!

I support this potential move 100%. This is much more than a rumor as it has legs everywhere. Plus it seems SJax has some front office allies. It also doesn't hurt that Starbury and Jax are best buddies and hell that would be one strong lineup especially when Monta comes back. In my opinion this would make us a playoff team. Another point guard with a middle linebacker metality. BD used have nightmares playing him and this would answer our point guard problems for the next couple of years.

What do all the GSoM profits think about this. To the haters an uninformed you might as well get comfortable with it! It is probably gonna happen!

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

It's not going to happen

And I’m glad it won’t. I could be wrong, and before you say I am, I do have my own opinion, but I think Starbury is washed up. The Knicks aren’t going to release him. They already said that. Plus, he’s not a team player. He unfolds drama every team that he goes too.

jack's problems were off the court

marbury’s are on.

jack also said al harrington is their best scorer… it’s obvious maggette and monta are both better scorers than al.

jack said that new orleans isn’t going to make the playoffs.

He is resolute that the Warriors will be good. In no particular order, he says the eight playoff teams in the West will be the Warriors, Spurs, Lakers, Mavericks, Jazz, Blazers, Rockets, and Suns.

jack saying stuff doesn’t make it true.

I might become a full-fledged Blazers fan if this transpired.
Then again it’s a ridiculous rumor.

starbury probably isn't quite washed up

but it would clog our roster too much

I never thought I'd say I wouldn't mind Starbury

Until SJax gave him the vote of approval. Still only makes sense if it’s a buyout / vets min type of deal. After watching Nelson, Williams and Watson I think we need some veteran to run the point or else it’s going to be a long season, but Marbury? There’s got to be another answer…right? I think we need to give Monta bionic legs…ROBOMONTA in 09!

The bases were drunk, and I painted the black with my best yakker. But blue squeezed me, and I went full. I came back with my heater, but the stick flares one the other way and the chalk flies for two bases. Three earnies! Next thing I know, skipper hooks me and I'm sipping suds with the clubby.

OMG. WHY WOULD WE WANT MARBURY?

Marbury’s like the worst basketball player in the world right now. OMG he’s such a baddy, he’ll kill our team and ruin our hopes of winning a championship this season. Why would we sign him when we already have an all-star point guard in CJ Watson?! Damn it, frickin Jackson is crazy. If we’re going to sign an old guy at the point, we might as well go for Boykins or someone like that. But please, not a devil like Marbury; he’ll just ruin the perfect organization that we currently have right now.

Why not?

Who wouldn’t want a Starbury shoe giveaway day? haha..

Let’s face it. We are looking at a lean year from the PG position regardless of who’s playing.

Try the general's fried chicken!

It’s “Da Bomb”!

I hate Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle, and Russel Peters because they make fun of white people like me. They also make fun of other kinds of people, which hurts me deep down because my ancestry is so mixed that I don't know what my official "race" is... so I get offended for all races!

Don't sleep on Marbury...

this is still the same Steph who for his career averages about 19 and 8 a game….he plays for the Knicks…the Knicks.. bring him to bay for the vet min and let the boy play!
If he’s cool with JACK, he’s cool with me. Thats just makes things more fluid on the court…williams and cj just aren’t playoff pg’s..and if monta can make it back the starting 5 could be dangerous..marbury, ellis, maggette, jack, AB..u know nellie likes small ball…but remember corey and jack r both big 3’s that can switch off…it’ll work, nelson is nice off the bench btw.. randolph gives me’s KG all over again…i dunno…sorry bwright, step ya game up or lets move him and marco for something b4 its too late!

You really think he wants vet minimum? That would be a no brainer but I doubt we’ll be able to get him that cheap? What is the min for a guy with his years? How do we fit that into our salary space?
If he could come it would definitely be better than what we got now.

dont forget Jackson wants to retire a Warrior

He’s definitely got a few more years left in him. Why would he support a Starbury signing if there was any chance it wouldnt work out.
The basketball skillz obviously arent where they used to be, but he would bring some toughness, star quality, and basketball intelligence back to the team.
We’ve discussed this a million times I think, but if Capt Jack is serious, my take on the issue is definitely changing

by warriorsvictim on Oct 20, 2008 9:06 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

If we can get him for dirt cheap...

… I say do it. He’ll be on a super short leash anyway. One wrong move, on or off the court and they let him go. If Monta wasn’t out for the first month I’d say no to this but because him being out may keep us out of the playoffs, why not take a chance on Starbury?

If Jax just wanted to take an AK-47 to the team’s future, he might as well call up Osama bin Laden and just get it over with, because bringing Marbury here would accomplish the same.

THE DUDE HAS A TATTO ON HIS HEAD… Nuff said.
