Gotta Love Captain Jack

Stephen Jackson, Golden State Warrior
"There'll be big talk in Houston, because Tracy McGrady has had his injuries and everyone knows about his trouble in the playoffs. There will be some clash in people's minds when he and Ron Artest work well together. And the Warriors -- we'll be there at the top of the West even without Monta Ellis for the first part of the season, and people are going to be talking about that."
I thought this made for an interesting read, and wondered what you guys thought about it. I am trying to be overly optimistic about this season because I think it won't be easy, but it really seems like we have a much more athletic and deep team than before. What do you guys think our record will be after November?

I'm fine with that.
As long as he doesn’t shoot or physically hurt anyone. If he thinks the Warriors are good then that’s great, the Warriors could be a surprise team this season. You never know.

Surprise, surprise
I’m predicting we’ll be one of the surprise teams of the season, if only because everyone’s so quick to count us out. People say the Warriors can’t compete with the top teams in the West; there’s really only four true powerhouses in the West right now and that’s Houston, the Lakers, New Orleans, and Utah. Portland’s still up-and-coming (yes, even with Oden) and Phoenix is a step down from previous years. San Antonio’s stronghold is slowly but surely diminishing, and Dallas’ is fastly. Now I will admit that alot of the teams have gotten stronger out here, however people tend to forget that this will affect the top teams as well. Where last year the last two playoff spots were up for grabs, this year looks to be even more competitive in the West overall, making any of the last four spots ours for the taking, depending on our determination. Sounds like Jack’s ready for battle.
