Dickau Released, 1 Cut Left

According to 48 Minutes.net, our Warriors just released Dan Dickau. I suppose that was expected.

Our current roster is:

1. Kelenna Azubuike

2. Marco Bellinelli

3. Andris Biedrins

4. Monta Ellis (Injured obviously)

5. Al Harrington

6. Stephan Jackson

7. Corey Maggette

8. Anthony Randolph

9. Ronny Turiaf

10. Marcus Williams

11. Brandon Wright

We have 4 spots and 5 guys. So one has to go from the following:

Demarcus Nelson, CJ Watson, Rob Kurz, Richard Hendrix, Anthony Morrow.

I think Demarcus and CJ are locks, but what about the other three? Who do you think should make it?

Kurz

is going to get cut. I can feel it. We drafted Hendrix so he can bang so we’re keeping him. Nellie wants 3 PG’s while Ellis is gone so Watson stays and Nelson stays. Morrow and Kurz are the leftover. I’d say Kurz is gone because he isn’t experienced enough to be our PF. At least Harrington is our Yao stopper.

Kurz

should be cut because even though he has shown that he has a great mind for basketball, he’s pretty much the same type of player as al harrington. Hendrix should get the roster spot just because he has the ability to bang inside, which the warriors are lacking

Next Game Decides?

I wonder if the next game with be the decider?

Obviously Dickau didn’t play well in the last game and thus got cut.

Morrow

We don’t need 2 pure shooters on the team who can’t defend. Morrow showed me absolutely nothing in China. Plus there is NO room at the 2. You can never have too many big men though.

Good juan. LOL.

I was crackin up myself from this comment, but I heard Beans has been shooting 3’s in practice and nailing them. Haha. Doubt he would bring it to the actual game any time soon.

Imagine if he developed a 3pt shot to his game in the future.

Hmmm…..

his 3pt shoot would look like his free throw shots

Balance it on his left hand and airball it, Champ?

morrow's contract is partially guaranteed

so i assume he has the inside track on kurz.

either way, whoever makes it is probably going to be inactive most games.

to start the season, the majority of the minutes are probably going to be divided (in no particular order)
1- cj, demarcus
2- jacks, kaz
3- maggs, (kaz)
4- al, brandan
5- andris, turiaf

that’s a 9 man rotation right there. obviously guys like jackson may see time at the 3 or turiaf at the 4 and whatnot, but that’d just make the list less simple.

my guess is belinelli, marcus, and either randolph or hendrix are the other 3 actives.

3 inactives are monta, ar/rh, and whoever wins the final roster spot out of morrow/kurz

Even though Kurz made those 2 big shots in the last game

he didnt really do anything special in any of the other games. To me he seems like a young Croshere and even if he does make the team i cant see him playing in many games. I’d rather see Hendrix, Morrow, and Nelson make the team. Hendix has that strength and big body the Warriors need in the middle, Nelson is looking better than Williams and Watson right now for the PG position, and the Morrow has the potential to become a good player the Dubs can use when somebody else is having a bad night. But dont get me wrong…Kurz is good enough to make the team but i dont think the Warriors need him right now.
