Who makes the cut?
The addition of Dan Dickau got me wondering about who will be the lucky and talented 15 to make the Warriors roster this season. Given that Nellie wants to carry 3 point guards, the battle for backup (and backup-backup) PG definitely looks compelling. I think the competition is great. Nellie's enthusiasm for Morrow and love for swingmen also makes him a near lock, provided he doesn't start throwing up bricks in October. Buffed-out draftee Hendrix and potential diamon-in-the-ruff Marcus W also should be safe. Broadly by position, it seems as though there are 5 players vying for 1 empty spot. This is my unexpert opinion, of course, as you can argue that several of the starred players are not locks. But of the remaining players, who do you like to make the cut? Is Dickau in by default? I also welcome back your thoughts on who is starred that you think shouldn't be.

I wouldn't put a star on Richard Hendrix
Nellie loves big men who can score in a variety of ways. With Turiaf on the fold, we actually have one guy who can bang and is already guaranteed to be in the lineup. So, Hendrix would have to really impress to get in. Remember Lasme last year, who showed some promise defensively, an area we needed help in, but then got cut. Same with Hendrix, I think we would really need to hit the boards harder than anybody else and maybe show some scoring skills.
Morrow, like u said, should be a lock unless he starts throwing up bricks. We lost most of our 3pt threat which is not saying much (3 inconsistent 3pt shooters in Barnes, BDiddy, MP) so if he continues to shoot the ball well, then I don’t see why he can’t make the roster.

Haha, sniff
We lost most of our 3pt threat which is not saying much (3 inconsistent 3pt shooters in Barnes, BDiddy, MP)
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at that one. BDiddy? A 3 point threat? I think I’ve settled on both. Laugh that you’d consider them a threat, even with the qualification that they’re inconsistent, and cry that they took so many 3s last year. And, of course, cry that BDiddy is gone.
I hate Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle, and Russel Peters because they make fun of white people like me. They also make fun of other kinds of people, which hurts me deep down because my ancestry is so mixed that I don't know what my official "race" is... so I get offended for all races!

Shaun Livingston
FTMFW
The bases were drunk, and I painted the black with my best yakker. But blue squeezed me, and I went full. I came back with my heater, but the stick flares one the other way and the chalk flies for two bases. Three earnies! Next thing I know, skipper hooks me and I'm sipping suds with the clubby.

Nah man
Morrow’s gonna make it. No way Nellie only takes 3 wing players. He knows Randolph is more of a 4, plus he loves Morrow.

for now
Randlolph is more of a 4 but Nelson said that’s only because the 3 is a harder position to play and they’ll plan to work him into that over time
we remember all too well that this is the same coach who said MD Jr was a natural 4 etc.
my antipathy for Marco + knowing all those listed as PG could move to a wing in Nelson’s system is why I think we could easily go with 7 guards and should pick up the best player available after NBA camps make their cuts (luxury cap will be an issue)
+ if you’re right & Morrow does make it Marco’s potential niche as the designated shooter is lonnnnng gone …

preseason
I am excited to see how a lot of these guys do in preseason, especially this morrow character, i hope he becomes a ball player and is another one of those great stories, undrafted, picked up by the dubz, contributes ……..only time will tell. Anthony Randolph has a swagger about him that I like, a rare confidence, I think hes gonna be a real good player.

good point
there’s been a lot of talk about who’s going to make the roster, but realistically, the preseason will be a much better indicator of a few of the guys up for the spots than any scouting report.

Livingston signed with the Heat
So thank god we dont have to hear about him coming to the Warriors anymore, let the Heat enjoy his one leg, at least until that one gives out.

DeMarcus Nelson
Sorry, but I gotta pick the Bay Area’s own. I’d much rather have him around than Dan Dickau, who gets around more than an STD. He seems to be turning into the new Rick Brunson. Every team is going to eventually sign Dan Dickau at some point, it seems.

Don't forget Rob Kurz
Nellie recently said that Kurz is his best rookie as well as the best rebounder on the Warriors during camp, and that should get him a spot(might not help Hendrix though). But, I really think nothing is going to be more important than how the preseason plays out. Plus I’m pretty sure that because Monta will be inactive so they won’t have to count him as one of there fifteen roster spots and then they just drop someone to the D-League or something when he gets back. Just a side note Monta better not have permanent damage to his ankle, which is a serious possibility, because then I’d need a new man crush.
How I see it right now:
C.J. Watson
Marcus Williams
Kelenna Azubuike
Stephen Jackson
Corey Maggette
Al Harrington
Brandan Wright
Anthony Randolph
Andris Biedrins
Ronny Turiaf
Anthony Morrow
Marco Belinelli
Richard Hendrix
Rob Kurz
#15: Demarcus Nelson (versatile young defender) vs Dan Dickau (the only veteran NBA PG)
Dowell and Williams shouldn’t make it
