One man's guess as to Nellie's rotation
Given that Don Nelson has gone on record as saying that tonight’s final exhibition contest against Lietuvos Rytas — the first professional home of former Warriors guard Sarunas Jasikevicius (just wanted to make sure I still had the spelling memorized; sadly, yes) — is a dress rehearsal for what we’re going to see in the regular season, here’s one man’s guess at how Golden State’s rotation will eventually shake out.

No Marcus Williams
Williams is too slow for Warriors. Harrington should be 6th man extraordinaire. Azuibuke should start and be in most of the game….
Randolph won’t be ready till mid season to get any of B. Wright’s minutes…..B. Wright is less likely to f**ck things up at this point. When Biedrins is too tired to go..Turiaf can spell him for 7 to 10 a game.
Keep the Kurz kid. He had got the tools to be a young Austin Croshere…and that ain’t bad.
PG- Demarcus
SG- Jack attack
SF- Azuibuke
PF- Al or B. Wright
C- Biedrins

I would put that starting 5 up defensively against any in the league
(assuming Wright starts).
Offensively I’m not sure what I think about it as I’m not sure how the ball is going to be distributed very well, but man that lineup would put most teams on lockdown.

I would say until Monta's back, there are only four consistant starters
C-Dre
F-Al
F-Corey
G-Jack
G-Depends on who we’re playing.
DeMarcus makes sense in the opener because he is the best defender and most athletic, and he’s going up against CPaul. CJ could start against Toronto, becasue he is the fastest and most offensively gifted, plus he is the most familiar with the O. Toronto also gets caught up in the running game with all those Euro’s. J.O. and Ford’s loss could change that though. Marcus(depending on his progress) could start against his former team NJ, lord knows they play slow enough for him.
Then I would think it wise to have the three of them split time against Mem, then after those four we will have a better understanding of who should be the starter.
In all honesty, we should keep rotating the 3 of them unless one falls off(money’s on Marcus)

Defending CP3
Both DeMarcus and CJ didn’t look great defending the pick ‘n roll during the preseason. As soon as they get beat up top, everyone has to rotate. I’m worried that CP3 will pick ‘n roll us to death, especially since the rotations haven’t been crisp in the preseason games thus far.
I agree about your four likely starters, however the one thing you can count on with Nellie is that he’ll mix it up:
-Last year he tried 23 different starting lineups. (http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/GSW/2008_start.html)
-The year before, he tried 35! (http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/GSW/2007_start.html)

i wish we could keep both kurz and morrow
they have a better future than marcus. we should just cut him and admit the mistake. morrow could turn into a DEADEYE marksman for us which we so sorely need.
It would be nice if he could be traded for even a second rounder in the 22nd century, but Belinelli looks like another wasted pick. He’s not enough of a dead-eye consistent shooter to be worth much and the rest of his game is non-existent. Yeah, his contract is guaranteed. That’s about the only thing saving him at this point.
wow
cuz we’ve seen a whole twenty minutes from him last season

can't
we just make him think every game he is playing is summer league? because he seems to play like kobe and mj and all the other 50 greatest player during summer league. that would be awesome! we would never loose!
So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

we’ve seen a whole twenty minutes from him last season
for a reason – he isn’t able to compete and pass KAz on the depth chart
draft picks
Im glad we wasted draft picks on marcus williams, i havent completely given up on him but if undrafted rookie Demarcus Nelson is performing better than him….?? Obviously don doesn’t like him.
Looks Good To Me
Having Turiaf spell AB when he’s in foul trouble is a great luxury the W’s will have this year. I see a more defensive-minded team this year, kind of a stretch when we’re talkin’ about NellieBall. But AB/Turiaf/AntRandolph/BWright all have “Swat Team” skills plus Bookie and Jack can pick a pocket or two as well.
As probably the only member of the Marco Belinelli Fan Club, I’m hoping Marco has improved his game this offseason and makes a positive impact this year. He looks confident, but he needs to be more aggressive. There’s a madman laying deep inside him, he just needs to let it out…
The main thing that concerns me is the PG by committee. It’s convenient to matchup different point guards to the opponents PG’s, but that strategy is ineffective in the pros. In a team-oriented setting like college ball, this strategy works. But in the NBA, where individual performance is emphasized, this strategy can cause problems. If Nelson started the first two games and Williams/Watson starts the next two, how will Nelson perform if he was called to start the fifth game?
All in all, I’m optimistic about this roster, but a little worried as well. The Warriors are in the Western Conference…
