What the hell. I am sure the entire world has since heard of the Dub's devirgination of Mark Cuban and Dirk, but frankly I have had enough. It may have been a historical blowout, but given the fact that the Dub acquired 7 new players this off season, the team is simply not the same. Even with the loss of Baron the team cannot be compared to past teams. Even Jax, the teams Xerxes, cannot help but mention to fans in the pre-game show that the Warriors are "the same team that beat the Mavericks 2 seasons ago". What the hell is that? You are not the same team, get over it and focus on the future. This ridiculous speech is leaving the Dub's in a post-historic daze, much like the homeless men who beg me for money on Haight street because they once did acid with the Dead. If it were up to me, i would take those wannabe "opening night" yellow shirts and give them to every homeless person in the city, because i highly doubt that the rich fans who can afford the new tickets will be willing to walk down the street with the same shirts that the man pissing himself on the corner is rockin... Maybe i am being to cynical, but if I have to sit through one more ridiculous Dub marketing ploy im going to pay Kelenna to punch Rowell right in the solar plexus.
But anyways , last nights game was great... at times. If Jax can come to terms that he may be the leader, but when the other team is in foul trouble you dont shoot threes with 23 seconds on the shot clock, then i think the Dub's can have a decent chance. The biggest void in the game last night was monta, and with him back the team really has a chance to be halfway decent. His ability to drive will only open up the floor and allow Jax to take open threes, not highly contested ones. oh, and by the way, did anyone see the latvian nightmare urinate on the foul line last night?
