I'm a little surprised the Warriors picked up Belinelli's option, but not Williams. Is he that bad that the Warriors have more faith in Bellinelli than him?

Also if this wasn't Chris Mullin's call then who pulled the trigger? It sure wasn't Thunder!

i hope

no one is actually surprised. Marcus Williams was only a backup for Monta anyways and since we have DeMarcus and CJ we dont really need him.

Demarcus and CJ are so much better.

A certified bust by now?

After playing a total of 20 minutes in his first season in the NBA? We haven’t really seen enough of him to label him as a bust. I’ll wait to see if he’s done anything by the end of his third year.

Rowell strikes again?

Wright was a no brainer, and while Williams was $500k more expensive than Marco this smacks of an example that Mullin and basketball decisions are second fiddle to $$$. Now that MWilliams will be a FA he has very little value on the trade market, while no one wants Marco (that I’ve heard) yet we’ll save a couple grand on a player that can’t play while losing an asset that could.

According to Janny Hu,

Williams can play. Maybe not the way Nellie wants him to, but he is their best point guard. You can see it in practice and you hear it from other players. They know he’s still figuring things out, but say he also needs a chance to show what he can do.

I feel bad for Dubs fans

This stuff with Rowell running the team really bothers me. I mean, say what you will about Otis Smith, but at least the man who runs my team has a basketball background.
