Overhyped italian player ftw? Don't get me wrong, Bargs is a solid player and excellent shooter but this really doesn't adress any of our pg problems as well as causing a decline of playing time to Randolph/Wright.

I would do it in a second

Randolph is a few years away and I assume will be a 3 at some point. I like Wright but his game is still limited on both ends

Bargnani could be a prototypical power forward in a Nelson Offense. 7’0 guy who can shoot the 3 and handle the ball. I am sure Nelson would have the guy lose

thing is I am not sure why in the world the Raptors would want Harrington. They are having trouble guarding wings. With Al you basically get the same as Bargnai only shorter with less upside. Both are bigs who shot the 3 pretty well, aren’t very athletic, aren’t great rebounders and can’t defend much. I guess Al can slash better and can guard a 3 a little better but IMO he is mediocre

I guess you could throw in a Beli but he isn’t exactly fixing the Raptors problem either

Without considering salary Wallace makes much more sense for them

Sorry that should read

set the guy loose

I think Nelson would love to see if Bargnani could be a poor man’s Drik

Again Harrington does nothing to help the Raptors IMO so I can’t see them making this deal

I’d love to see this deal go through especially if we could land Moon also. Aquiring Moon and Bargnani (along with some contract fillers like Humprhies) would allow us to potentially deal on of the vets (Jack or Maggette) at the deadline and move forward with the young core of Monta, Buike, Randolph, Wright, Biedrins and the coming lottery pick.
