I Hate to Lose [The Mark Cuban Weblog]
Say what you want about Mark Cuban, the choke-job 2k6 Mavericks, or those soft Dallas fans, but at least this guy passionately cares about the team he owns. GSW faithful would only be so lucky to have an owner like that running the ship. Cuban has pride in the product he puts out there and tries to genuinely reach out to his team's fans with integrity. The Golden State Warriors owner Chris Cohan and President Robert Rowell could learn a lot from Cuban.

Cuban and the Mavs are a joke. The latest debacle? He’s being accused of insider trading. I would take Rowell and Cohan any day over Cuban.

Agreed about it being a debacle if true
Insider trading is completely shady and if Cuban is found guilty of it he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. No doubt about it. He shouldn’t get a pass or lesser penalty just because he’s a great owner of an NBA team and revitalized a terrible hoops franchise. White collar crime is no different than street gang and mafia thuggery.
BUT does that make him a bad owner of the Mavs the past decade? Don’t think so. I still would rather have him owning the Warriors than Cohan.
Don’t forget that Cohan’s no saint off the court either:

true
I don’t know, I’d rather have neither organization’s front office. But honestly, I can’t stand Cuban’s “enthusiasm”, and I think it’s a huge distraction to see your GM pouting, making faces, and trying to join the team on court. I’d prefer the Mullie approach of chillin in the crowd, and putting the focus on the players and coach.

nice article
both he and rowell come off like grade-a douche bags. that was in 2002. openning up the paper today, doesn’t look like much has changed.
"They can trade me," Bonds said. "I don't think they will, though. It's not like I want to be traded, man. I'm a Giant. I'm stuck here till the end."

He’s being accused of insider trading
That doesn’t sound like insider trading. Looks like he was not an insider just a prospective stock purchaser who dint like what he saw? If their agreement was that he would not sell his existing stock for a certain period then they might have a case , otherwise it looks like they offered the info and he based his decision on it?

Great timing
I’m assuming this was posted before you saw the news of Cuban’s Insider Trading?
