Could Yi Be The Final Piece To Our Puzzle?
I know when u guys saw this post, u felt like saying "here we go again"! But bare with me people!!!..........Remember when Dirk was under Nelson in Dallas? Who was the father figure in Dirk's life when he was freshly drafted from Germany? Who helped the skinny lil boy who nobody believed in? Who assisted and mentored Dirk to become the beast that he is today? Ladies and gents Don Nelson!
I believe that if the Dubs can pry Yi from the Nets, "THE DON" can turn this young man's future to a star like he did with Dirk. And plus this can definatley increase the sales in the box office because of the large asian population in THE YAY AREA (which u folks already know and herd a thousand and one times now). So anywho i came up with another proposal the Dubs can offer to the nets that mite be a lil more tempting then the suck offer they turned down.
Warriors Give Up - A.Harrington, M.Belinelli, C.Watson, B.Wright (and possibly an 09 2nd rd pick, and/or a 2010 1st rd pick)
For
Nets give up - Yi, T.Hassell, S.Swift, S.Williams
Have not tried this on ESPN trade machine, so not sure if the salarie blah blah blah would work. But they mite go for it if we throw in those picks..........iono jus imagine a future line-up of this
M.Ellis / A.Marrow / A.Randolph / Yi / A.Biedrins
and a young/veteran core of role players like
M.Williams / K.Azubuike / C.Maggette / S.Jackson / R.Turiaf
If this trade did get the nod, i would instantly release T.Hassell and pick up the option on S.Marbury (when he is released from the knicks of course) then our squad would look like this in the push for the playoffs
M.Ellis / S.Marbury / C.Maggette / S.Jackson / A.Biedrins
with Yi and Turiaf the first big men off the bench!!!!
No Doubt this line-up should get all of us warrior fans excited............matter fact doesnt it look similar to the old dubs that pushed for the playoffs 2 years ago, and beat the best team in the leauge? hmmmmmm...................take a look and compare for your selfs
old dubs: M.Ellis / B.Davis / J.Richardson / S.Jackson / A.Biedrins
Possible New Dubs: M.Ellis / S.Marbury / C.Maggette / S.Jackson / A.Biedrins
If we can pull all this off "We Believe Part 2" should be stamped on every shirt, banner and sign.....LOL
Your thoughts and comments would be deeply appreciated! Aite yall

Yeah, Like night and day? Wright is an inside player and Randolf is a wanna be little man, totally similiar.
So you think Magette and Yi are superior to Boom and JRich? I think the 07 team would be a fine tuned winning machine now if it was not destroyed. We dodged the Yi bullet a coulpe of years ago, don’t press our luck again.

Well...
Al + Bels for Yi + Swift’s expiring contract works. Yi has been struggling a bit in NJ. It’s a possibility. NJ doesn’t have any shooters. But you never know. Go ask Ric Bucher.

Yi
Without seeing much of him this year I just took a quick look at his numbers. The obvious thing that smacks you in the face is that his FG% is awful this year, 38% ouch.
But there are some promising improvements as well. His rebounding is up significantly to 10.3 per 36min. He has also found his 3pt stroke shooting nearly 55% early on. Now I don’t know how you can manage to shoot 55% from three and only 38% overall so that is a big red flag, but I can’t really say much without seeing him play more.
As far as this trade goes, I don’t think there is any way they move him again so soon after giving up RJ for him. I’m sure they are going to want to give him a chance before shipping him off unless something really great presents itself.
From the Nets perspective Brook Lopez and Yi should compliment each other nicely in the future with Yi helping to space the floor and create space for Brook to work down low. They are both still a little rough around the edges but I’d give them time if I were running the Nets.

Dude what are you smokin'
That trade is so one sided why would I give up Wright for Yi straight up even. Think before you write rediculous trade scenarios for players that are redundant and useless.

Have you watched Randolph and Wright play very much?
Their games are only similar on defense. Offensively they project to be different positions (Randolph a 3 with a good face up game, and Wright a 4 suited for the pick and roll, with a nice post game—should he ever get strong enough to hold his position down low).
Randolph will be best as a 3, and yi is 3 who can’t guard other 3’s and can’t really play 4.
Hell no.

Trade proposals
They’re only fit in one of these circumstances:
1. NBA video games. Propose all you want. Sometimes the CPU would even agree, and now you even have a chance to make it happen!
2. Join a Sim League. Google it up if you don’t know. You basically take control as a GM of a team and gets to talk trades with 29 others. You’ll get all the ridiculous offers you can imagine and then some starting from the day you are hired.
3. Your Friends, preferably with alcohol involve unless you or your friends are the violent drunk type. You don’t have to have alcohol but if you want a lengthy discussion and a lot of proposals, it’s better to have it. Plus, you don’t have to deal with no.4
4. You’re ready to get hit by a car or something like that. That’s the risk you’re taking if you dare talk trade proposals in any other circumstances not mentioned above.

they traded jefferson
for cap space, not yi. he was just a low risk throw in. any deal centered around yi at this point is either a bad idea or totally pointless.

I don't want Yi...
…because he isn’t what the team needs, more playing time for Wright is. I fear if we had Yi, Nelson would prioritize him over Wright, and we’d get an offense running through a decent shooting big man who lacks the defensive and inside presence to become a truly worthwhile team.

Whoa easy fellas
no need for the threats………..maybe throwing in the draft picks where a lil steep. But honestly the reason why i put Wright in there because i feel that in time Randolph has a greater upside and possibly in the future develop what Wright has as far as his lil proven paint moves. And I know people are in love with Wright because we traded J-Rich for him. But lets be honest people Wright is just another prospect with potential like Yi. But it’s funni that people wouldnt want him even if he turns out to be a beast like Dirk or Pau…….people would die to have those types of players on there teams, iono well see. But the disrespect fellas must be left to yourself’s. No need to act hard on the internet………oh and by the way im blk, didnt know i had to b asian to like an asian player!!!! Racist foo! N e who

You make no sense.
Fix your typing, and why does it matter that Randolph has more potential than Wright. What’s wrong with having two players with potential? Nobody is saying that they wouldn’t take Pau or Dirk, we’re saying that we wouldn’t take Yi. As far as “But lets be honest people Wright is just another prospect with potential like Yi” what the hell is that supposed to mean? Of course they are prospects with potential. You’re not a prospect unless you have potential.
Wright over Yi any day.

Using the same logic…. Most people wouldn’t want him because we’re giving away Wright who turns out to be a beast like KG or Bosh.

tell me your 12 and don’t watch basketball. because 1 Yi is freaking overrated and i would not give away this much stuff for any player well maybe lebron, but thats to much for a team that needs more help than potential. lol how is he going to be Dirk or Pau?! Randolph got more potential to be a dirk type than Yi lol come on he at least dribbles and shoots Yi don’t do that much and Chinese players are overrated.
So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

Yi
Is a nice player, will be very damn good in a few year…. BUT WE DONT NEED ANYMORE TRADES. We need to let our current talent develop.
Center? Check
PF? Check
SF? Check
SG? Double Check
PG? Remains to be seen, but I would put a check.
Look at all the teams around the leagues who trade trade trade trade trade mid season, they are the ones way over the cap and never get anywhere.
DEVELOP YOUR TALENT.
