I've always been an advocate

of possibly trading Monta. With the possible emergence of a star in Morrow, the development of Azubuike and possibly Marco, the possibility of a goodbye from Mullin, and his mistake with his injury I can truly see him being traded in the future. Alot of people including myself, believed we were going to be on the bottom of the abyss without Baron and later on in the off-season without Monta. Both are currently gone and we aren’t doing as bad as we thought we were, considering we are the youngest team out there and there are a few games that were certainly winnable. If we can get picks in return or salary dumps that end on or before 2010 then I will be satisfied.

I've always been an advocate of possibly trading Monta

I’ve always been an advocate of playing Montay in his natural 2 guard position and running the tires off him. I’ve never thought he has the judgment to be a point guard or a team leader, and his off season conduct has done nothing to change that opinion.. He’s basically one of the best scorers in the NBA so why can’t we just take advantage of that and not get cute and spoil our game?

let’s really show the league’s stars how poorly we treat our own and run ellis outta town. then all the good FA’s will really, really not want to come here.

love ellis hate stienmetz

i dont want ellis to leave, he is one of the most entertaining players in the league, if we cant be an elite team at least monta can bring some attention and excitement to our team……..and i dont really know why but steinmetz comes off as being kinda shady

Ellis to the rim!

WHAT WHAT WHAT?

“ive always been an advocate of possibly trading Monta. With the possible emergence of a star in Morrow”

What Morrow did to the clips on saturday was awsome, but to say he may be our next star? Dude had one lights out game, flashes of greatness, but he will not dominate a game the way Monta does. In addition, it was against the clips! LOTS more to be desired here in regards to AM. For now, he’s basically a spot up shooter, he moves well without the ball, but Monta does so much more. Plus Morrow is not ready to carry this time like Monta will be able to.

If we do trade Monta, i want a star back. Unlikley to happen at this moment, so lets develop monta some more. These are the things that keep driving stars out of Golden State and keep hampering our team.

my humble opinion.

DONT TRADE MONTA

Please for the love of the franchise DO NOT trade this kid-
Do you ever notice how the Warriors get rid of players and then they become stars??
Gilbert Arenas
Vince Carter
Need I say more?
Monta is the future. Keep him. Don’t alienate your fans any more than you already have.

Stupid as F***

Why would we trade Monta Ellis? If he were with this team right now, we would be sitting right behind the Lakers in the standings and everyone would be talking about how young and talented we are. The guy has serious skills, and barring him coming back permanently less than 90% of his old self he brings to the table a few things we desperately need: consistent midrange jumpers, fastbreak points, and a go to scorer who can collapse the defense and open up shooters (hopefully A-Mo keeps doin what he did Saturday.)

Matt Steinmetz is an idiot

I can’t tell you how much he annoys me. I really don’t take anything this guy says seriously. No team would be willing to get rid of a prime superstar for Ellis and pieces. Plus, Monta will be playing a large role in team play whether he is at the 1 or 2.

-He led the league in fastbreak points last season, something the Dubs have been lacking so far.
-His ability to draw defenders will open up the floor for 3pt shooting, (Jax, Morrow, Beli), buff lane-drivers, (Buike and Maggette), and long bigs, (Do I need to name them?) will be his most useful asset second to that midrange jumper.

Although his contract is large and he might be unhappy about the fine, all the drama should blow over once he starts playing and making news again. He still has one of the largest contract raises with the fine.
Do people really want to try and pull a Celtics and dump all the potential in this team for stars that teams most likely don’t want to trade? And will people quit talking about A-Mo like he’s going to solve all problems after 1 game. I know he is talented, and is going to impress everyone over the next couple of months, but one game is still one game. Don’t start telling people you see Jesus in your french toast when it could just be James Caviezel.

The pop ups on this site are starting to piss me off.

I think he said that because

IDK every team wants to jump in that 2010 free agent class

stienmetz is fishin.

This is the real issue, dude, why even write stuff like this in the first place!? It’s not even tangible and now its all over the web. I mean just because you had a slow day you thought you would stir the pot with the Mullin-Monta trade scenario huh?

Could have just waited a few more hours and broke the SJax extension signing or something that actually was a reality.
