as much as i want to believe, in terms of making the playoffs i dont know how we can

you can argue and say this is our developmental year but as a fan that DARN HOPE

1. * LA Lakers —
 2. Phoenix 1.0
 3. * Utah 1.5
 4. * Houston 1.5
 5. Portland 2.0
 6. Denver 2.0
 7. New Orleans 2.5
 8. San Antonio 3.0
 9. Golden State 4.0
 10. Sacramento 4.5
 11. Dallas 5.0

have any of you looked at the standings and cringed? I can’t think of a scenario in which we make the playoffs but only time will tell

I think that teams we are gonna be watching for the rest of the season in terms of that 8th spot are

+Sacramento (we play terrible against them, but they aren't that great)

+Dallas (I think they will pick and be right up there in 6th or 7th)

+Denver (looking really good right now, 7th-8th)

BUT OUR MAIN OPPONENT~!

PORTLAND (i think)

they are the team I think that we will be facing to try and grab that 8th spot

good thing we won tonight! :D

Um… the 1-9 Clippers! :-P

7-8

Between us, Portland, Denver and Dallas there are two spots open. You gotta think Dallas has enough to take that, so I guess it’s between us, Portland and Denver. Portland seems to only be getting better – barring yet another Greg Oden injury. Unless Portland has a key injury, I don’t think we make the playoffs.

Portland only seems ot be getting better?

and were not, when we get Monta back? You may want to rethink your position!

dallas

I don’t know how good Dallas really is, I am gonna give it some time cause there still the mavericks but they still haven’t beat anybody good yet other than the San Antonio win.

Need more time

The season is still too early to really judge our capability and other teams of making the playoffs. We are starting to play some decent basketball, especially Morrow bringing in a boost, so if we can stay afloat(.500 or better would be ideal) until Monta gets back, I think we just might have a shot at taking the 8th spot. IMO, Dallas is not that great of a team, and San Antonio has been struggling quite a bit without Ginobli and Parker. Although both teams have been mainstays of the playoffs for years, Im not ready yet to automatically count them in.

i completely agree with you

Right now our team can be hard to watch/follow because of how unpredictable our team is. One night we lose to memphis and another night morrow score 37; it’s too early to predict, but we have a shot. Until the playoff spot are locked, they are up for grabs.

I think it really comes down to two things though.

1. Are Dallas and San Antonio going to get better? If they do, it will be that much harder and we will need to compete with the likes of portland and denver.

2. What will are team be like in 2009? Will Harrington be traded by then? If so, how will his replacement or our young guns do in his place. Also, we will have Monta as our point guard so we need to see how the team chemistry is then as well.

Even if we get into the Playoffs, we won’t make it far unless there happens that all the stars are aligned, we get hot at the perfect moment and there are major injuries across the league. But I highly doubt that we can stay hot through four rounds of the toughest teams in the league all playing shut down defense against our small ball.

Having said that, I think our best chance to go deep into the playoffs is once our youth develops over the next couple of years and if everything goes as planned, we have the long, athletic front court of Randolph, Wright, and Biedrins.

the warriors are solid. stay .500, wait until monta comes back and we’ll figure this out!

right now im happy where the Warriors are at, we had some loses.. but Chocolate Rain Is the ANSWER!

I Believe

we can make it, when Monta gets back, we are gonna be sitting on a whole lot of offensive firepower.

by Aware1 on Nov 20, 2008 7:59 AM PST reply actions

With absolutely no defense. And I hate to be cliche, but defense wins championships. Small Ball sells tickets.

D is getting a lot better....

Hopefully by the time Monta is ready the D will be tight…

THEN…………

With even more firepower than our current “2nd in the league” scoring team, plus a little more D capability…..THEN……. we are going to be just fine….

Did anyone else notice the fact that we gave the Pistons a much harder time than the Cavs did the other day….that alone tells me this young team is very much heading in the right diection….

I mean I dont know how much more proof you need..

We’ve been blown out once against Sacramento in “young guy experiment night”. Were in every other game, and just lacked scoring in a couple.

Whats that I hear? OH yeah Monta Ellis is due back in a few weeks. Whats that I hear again? Morrow is lights out now? Warriors 2 – 0 when he starts?
Hold on whats this new shooter buzz? Did we just get Crawford a 4th quarter proven lights out scorer?

Im sorry can you remind me please which quarter OWNS the Warriors ? Thats right the 4th.

Keep hatin’ Ill just put the champagne on ice, and get my Playoff tickets ready.

Write this down, take a picture, phone a friend.

With Jamal in town, were now a playoff team.

Not a championship contender, but now we just have WAYYYYYYY too much ammo to make the playoffs.
