I miss...
I miss Baron to J-Rich from halfcourt.
I miss Barnes' flagrant fouls.
I miss Pietrus stepping out of bounds.
I miss Jasikevicius cheerleading from the bench.
I miss huge boards from J-Rich and Pietrus.
I miss Baron's fedora.
I miss Barnes' mohawk (even though it was weak).
I miss Jessica, Woody, Kate and Owen, Carlos and Snoop.
I miss ELLIS TO THE RIM!
I miss " Does Barnes have a new neck tattoo?"
I REALLY miss Baron to J-Rich.
Hell, I even miss Dun's awesome facial expressions.
I don't miss Dun's clutch airballs, though.
I miss Baron's swagger.
I miss "We Want Foy-Le!"
I miss the feeling I had walking out of the Oracle after Game 6 vs. Dallas.
Sorry about gettin all nostalgic. I would just rather not think about front office power struggles, why the young'uns are on the bench and why Jax is playing 46 minutes.
One Love. One Dub.

warriors actually had a ton of celebrity fans during the playoffs.
Warriors + Celebrity Fans = Twilight Zone
and it wasn’t crappy celebs either.

all that "other stuff" is a part of why i LOVE this game
IF all i cared about was winning, i would have just gone for the easy target and become a lakers or spurs fan.

heres a message
to everyone in the warriors organization: all the fans got used to the we believe shirts. they got used to baron dunking over AK47. they got used to j rich draining 3s. They got used to enjoying watching the warriors play basketball. when you let your best player walk, what they hell do you think is going to happen? obviously you wont be as good. its been a frustrating first part of the season, and i know its early, but for all of the fans who pay money to watch the games, who fell in love with that that 06-07 group, who love to see the warriors do well, you owe them more than this.

What I really miss
is seeing Erick Dampier, Donyell Marshall, Clarence Weatherspoon, tony Delk and Bimbo Coles running up and down with those horrendous Warriors jerseys with the obnoxious lightning bolt down the side of the uniforms while losing by like 50 points a night, all while sitting in the lower bowl for 24 bucks (the lowest in the league).
I also miss Thunder.
I miss seeing that idiot in the lower level with an authentic Brian Cardinal jersey.
I miss the anticipation of potentially getting the first pick every year for a decade.
I miss the days of Latrell Sprewell dribbling around the court for the entire 24 second clock while the rest of the team stood around and twiddled their thumbs.
My pictures never show up here, so this is my new Signature

I FEEL YOU. NO HOMO.
Later on, there’s gonna be a ton of “OMG GET OVER IT, IT’S THE PAST, STOP CRYING!” type of posts. lol.
But yeah man, you should check out the “We Believe Is Dead” post that Atma did a couple weeks ago. Great post. Also, the whole story of the 2006-2007 Warriors is AMAZING. It might not seem like it for most people, but it does to me, especially when I look back and realize the type of family that the team was. Also, much props to Paul Wong for starting the “We Believe” movement that helped carry and add onto our momentum into the playoffs after our 16-5 run.
A lot of people complain, but i’m truly not even annoyed by fanposts like this. Sure, we could do better without someone posting a similar fanpost like this 4 times a month; but the thing about it that makes it okay for me is that the whole We Believe movement was only TWO seasons ago. It’s hard to believe how much this team has changed since then (and so quickly), and how all these Warriors fans are actually OKAY and ready for ANOTHER rebuilding process. The Warriors were already a top 8 team in the NBA in 2007, yet we wanted to rebuild again after waiting 12 years to make the playoffs in the first place.

I’ll never forget that season. Like you said, the whole story of the 2k6-2k7 Warriors is AMAZING.

Yeah
That article pretty much sums it up. A lot of crazy things happened that season that it was so fitting for a slogan like “We Believe” to be used. If a team like the Spurs, Cavs, Pistons, Suns etc. used “We Believe” as their slogan instead of us, it truly wouldn’t have had the same effect.
We were an 8th seed, beating one of the BEST teams in NBA history (well, one of the best regular season teams ever). The whole movement felt so perfect and fitting, that I ended up expecting a great ending, lol. It sucks we had to lose to another “underdog” team, and the rest of the NBA fans had to watch a boring Utah/San Antonio series.
The Rockets played Game 7 against the Jazz in HOUSTON, yet they couldn’t come out with a win. Imagine a Warriors/Rockets series in the 2nd round. The tallest player in the NBA having to keep up with a small line-up. We could have advanced to the WCF, and I would have been honored to get eliminated by the Spurs anyways since they’re a dynasty with one of the greatest PF’s in history. But if we somehow got lucky, a Warriors/Cavaliers Finals would have been surreal hahaha.
Pietrus missing those 2 FT’s in Game 2 of the GS/UTAH series that would have put the Warriors up 7 points with 55 seconds left in the game. SMH.

The Warriors with Chris Webber
Their future looked VERY BRIGHT. Future WCF appearances to come, but we just had to trade him away. lol.

haha Barnes and his mohawk
A lot of non-Warriors fans saw him in Game 1 against the Mavericks. They were all like, “who the hell is that scrub with the mohawk making all those crazy three’s?”. hahaha.
