Ah yes, tis the day to buy stuff. Anyone ever wonder why today is called Black Friday? Well my fave website wikipedia came up with this...
The term "Black Friday" originated in Philadelphia in reference to the heavy traffic on that day. (see 'Origin of the name' below) More recently, merchants and the media have used it instead to refer to the beginning of the period in which retailers are in the black (i.e., turning a profit).
Interesting...interesting.
I've been looking for deals all day and I have come up with some really good ones including my brand new Canon Powershot 770 IS off Amazon. Tis a nice find if I do say so myself.
But the one thing I have yet to find on this Black Friday is a deal with this guy

for a combined salary of $10 mil a year for 5 years after 2010 when they all become free agents. What gives?
And ya know what REALLY grinds my gears....
Oh well, we gotta play the Cavs for now I guess..

The Cavs are on FIIIIIIIREEEE. 11 victories in 12 games? Shooting 60.8 percent? And LeBron chillin on the bench for the majority of the last few games?
While the Cavs are playing their best ball in the last few years, the Dubs are...doing the exact opposite. I commend the effort against the Celtics on Wednesday night, BUT letting a 14 point deficient go doesn't really make me too happy.
But this isn't about me, an average Joe fan, its about the owners and making money.

lebron is going to tear our defense apart
the worse news is that he’s rested, having only played only 17 minutes in their last game, 2 days ago, at home. things could get ugly.
the only way we’re gonna stand a chance is some efficient offense. we’re going to need to score, a lot, and minimize the turnovers. i know that sounds obvious, but jackson is going to keep it going from last game. and let’s hope nellie plays maggette at the 3 and he can drop 30+ again.

That’s somewhat of a point in NBA fan’s lives that shows how much older their getting: when they’re older than an NBA player. We all grow up watching basketball, and idolizing players as we’re little kids. Once we finally get to the point where we’re actually OLDER than an NBA player, it feels pretty weird.

This team is too predictable =[
Once the Celtics cut the lead down to 1 point and had the momentum, I told all my friends that it’s over for the Warriors. It’s already a given that this team does not play with any HEART and SWAGGER to stay consistent against a great team (and sometimes even against crappy teams that are worse than us). Once the Celtics came back and the crowd was loud, I knew the Warriors were too weak mentally to pull out a win. Every time things gets tense, everyone starts ballhogging and bad shots.
I know I know, people hate fans who give up watching the games so easily and the ones who leave the game early when there’s still a chance. But with this team, you already know when they’re going to lose. Hopefully we can get better once this team meshes and each player know his role on the team. There’s enough time to go on a crazy run (like our 16-5 run of 2007) to help boost this team and give us life in the regular season to work our way to the playoffs.

- Up by 8 at half time, down 8 by the end of the 3rd quarter.
- Jackson has 1 turnover at half time and 7 by the end of the 3rd.
- Monta enters game at the start of the fourth quarter. We win by at least 20.

Each team this trip has exposed our weaknesses
We can’t cover the interior and are too lazy on the perimeter. On offense, we can only score in transition. I miss B. Diddy and Monte because our half-court game stinks right now.
I hate the fact that these past few games
have made the Dubs floor seem a lot lower than I had originally anticipated and the ceiling is crashing down around Nellie’s ankles

So far, Jamal Crawford on the floor is much, much less valuable than Al Harrington was on his couch. God, Crawford’s been terrible. I’m hoping this isn’t how he’s always going to play under Nellie. Just to dig the knife in, Watson’s been really good lately, making Crawford seem like an even more unnecessary addition. I have a really bad feeling about that trade.
Horrible offense for the last 60% of the game, and horrible passing all night, especially from the villainous veteran trio of Jack, Crawford and Maggette. It’s more important than ever that Monta can hold down the point, because Jack and Crawford thinking they have to run the show is just poisonous for this team.
Biedrins was really quite awful tonight, so I don’t begrudge Nellie for pulling him, but at the risk of sounding like a broken record, WE NEED MORE BRANDAN WRIGHT. He played more high-efficiency, high-energy basketball tonight, and our offense was at its best when he was moving around and helping put plays in motion. He got beaten badly on defense once or twice, but made damn nice stops once or twice too… he holds his own out there on D. A block, two steals, zero turnovers. The idea that he only got eighteen minutes, many of them in garbage time, is an absolute joke. He was one of the only Warriors playing like a grownup out there.
Randolph’s physical skills are indeed impressive, but I’m getting sick of watching this guy gun. While Morrow’s still cold, he played fairly smartly and pulled down four boards in limited time, so I still think he belongs in the rotation somewhere. Azubuike was inoffensive, but we could use a spark from him right now, and we’re not getting it. We’re still not hitting our threes, but we’ve just gotta hope those’ll come… the team at least didn’t force up too many threes, probably because they were so busy trying to force up so many other types of shots.
The Cavs are a truly great team, so this is not an overly heartbreaking loss, but it’s just so frustrating to see us get blown out after hanging with them for so long. I mean, our offense can work if guys keep moving around and making the extra (SIMPLE) pass. But if the vets keep shutting out the team and trying to prove they’re friggin’ Dwayne Wade against triple-teams, and if Jack and Crawford keep trying to pull off highlight passes they’re not good enough to make, we’ll have a lot more blowouts in our future.

Our problem is that out opponents adjust to us in the second half. Maybe if we started awfully and picked it up in the second half, they wouldn’t have time to adjust =P
I hate to say it...
but CJ Watson looked really good tonight, Buike was assertive at least, and Crawford was decent. It seems like “The Quiet Storm” plays better coming off from the bench: but they shouldn’t wait too long til they let him in.
Also, i’d rather have the Turiaf-BWright combo than Turiaff-Randolph when we sit Goose.
Randolph’s got talent, but they need to send that kid to the D-League now or get a good ass spanking cuz he hogs it, tries to bring down the ball (and turns it over), and shoots as if he’s JJ Reddick, the BEST shooter in the world as proclaimed by BETTER BASKETBALL. Sadly, it hasn’t been going in.
CJ & Belli have been shooting good (esp. Watson) with the time they’re given. Maybe more minutes? Let’s put Kurz in during the Knicks game and see what we can do.

Randolph looks wild and uncanny on the court. Dribble dribble, turnover or a brick shot.
