best lineup

one of the main problems we are having this year is that there is no consistency in our starting lineup.  yes, we know that jacks and biedrins will get the starting nod 99 percent of the time, but we arent sure about the other three.  we have seen morrow, watson, wright, belinelli, turiaf, all get to start on a given night.  however, i think it would be best to find a starting lineup that works, stick to it, and then make substitutions from there.  this allows the players to get used to playing with eachother, and takes some pressure off guys since they know their roles.  i think the starting lineup, without monta, should be:

cj

morrow

maggette

jack

biedrins

our second group would look something like this

crawford

buke

randolph

wright

turiaf

i also like the idea wright starting at the 4 or crawford at the 1.  cj and buke seem to be doing well coming off the bench.  i liked how the team was playing when morrow played those two good games, however he hasnt played much/played well since, but i think he could do well if he is allowed to make some mistakes.

I don't like Maggette starting anymore, he just likes building his stats AND I HAVE PROOF

Proof that Maggette wants only to build his stats-
AT THE END OF the Celtics game last week, he wanted the last 2 points(that were pointless to the scoreboard) and he drove in for the layup just to boost his 30 points to 32.
If that was Steven Jackson, he woulda just held the damn ball..

Replace Maggette with Jackson, and test out Randolph at 4 or Wright and see if he changes..because he does the same crap every game.

wow, stop hating on maggette in every single post

who the fuck knows if jackson would or would not have done the same thing? why does it even matter? maybe if he had 38 points, and wanted 40, sure, i could see the argument. but he already had 30 points. it’s not like 32 points is some huge statistical level that none can reach.

You can bring a 40 and smoke a cigarette and call me from the parking lot asking me what time the game is, and I'll tell you. You can even say 'F--- you, Steve!' Actually, don't say that, that wouldn't be very nice." -Steve Friend, Head Coach, Chabot College Gladiators Baseball

These are the main issues in figuring out the right lineup:

1) Any lineup that features only one big guy is a terrible one. We’ve seen enough of that. Biedrins needs a buddy.

2) Stephen Jackson doesn’t rebound well enough to help us at small forward. He should be a guard.

3) Ideally Jackson, Crawford and Maggette would not all start. It guarantees two terrible rebounders, two terrible defenders, two overexuberant passers and three gunners… it’s like a horrible Venn diagram of losing basketball. Throw Watson or Morrow or ’Buike or someone in there, and let the odd C/M/J man out be instant offense from the bench.

Right now this would be my ideal lineup:

PG – C.J. Watson
SG – Stephen Jackson
SF – Corey Maggette
PF – Brandan Wright
C – Andris Biedrins

…with Turiaf, Crawford and ‘Buike as the first three off the bench. But really, any lineup that features two big men and *doesn’t* feature one of Crawford, Jackson and Maggette would do. This team needs to find some balance.

I don't think that Morrow should get the starts until (If) he proves he can be more consistent.

So here’s how my line up stands:

PG- Crawford
SG- Jackson
SF-Maggette’
PF-Turiaf/Wright
C- Biedrins

Giving the PG job to Crawford right now, because it’s basically a toss up between him and CJ, so the start goes to the more experienced one.

Pretty straightforward from there, but with the rest of the league catching on to our little secret (Beans this season), he really needs another big out there to help out. If Wright can progress and get better, the job’s all his now that Al is gone, but for now it’s Ronnie’s job to lose.

Monta! Montaye! Montae!

crawford should go to the bench

and put wright in the starting lineup because eventuall thats where crawford is going to go anways unless nelson is crazy and thinks he can keep playing crazy small ball.
