I'm not losing hope

Admittedly, I only started watching the Warriors seriously during the '07 Playoffs. I mean, I liked the Warriors back in '94-'95 when I was 10, but leaving for the Philippines after that and not having regular access to anything except games televised on ESPN made me miss out on most of the last decade of Warrior Ball.

Last season was an awesome ride that ended sadly, but was still enjoyable (I still remember the high I had against that fateful Denver game when it looked like we were in complete control). I do miss Baron, Jrich, Barnes, Pietrus, and now Al since they were the part of the "We Believe" Warriors, but at the same time I still like what we have now. Some trimming of our guards may be in order, but the core (Jack, Monta, Beans, Wright, CJ, Buke, et al) still shows a lot of promise for the future.

I still think the playoffs are possible. A lot of people scoffed at the '06-'07 Warriors, and then they went on a tear and ate up their opposition. While I hope it doesn't have to come to that (another 26-35 hole is not something I want), I do think that this team is talented enough to pick up their game (especially their DEFENSE) and post a winning record this season. Forget what Nellie said in that one interview- he wrote the team off back in '06-'07, too.

And, in the case that we do NOT make the playoffs, well, it will stink for sure but we could consider this year one where the team established some chemistry together.

I really hope the next three games go well...Miami, Houston, and San Antonio are NOT going to be easy...but I'm sure they want to win games a lot more than we want them to.

thank you

I think we’re just freaking out from a 6 game losing streak. Don’t forget that we started the season horribly last year (though granted the players were more skilled). Still, it’s too early to call off the season when we have like 75% of the games to go.

Ellis to the RIM!
Monta for the win?! YES!

Thanks for the post

I think you’ve got it right. The core is a very nice little sqaud… but the dubs have ZERO team chemistry. We really are freakin out because of this road trip, but a few games at home should ease the sadness.

I still don’t think Maggette is good for the team. I still don’t see playoffs in site.

agree on maggette

Im pissed about the maggette signing, all he brings is individual inconsistent scoring. Something we definetely didn’t need. This past offseason we should have either re-signed baron to the contract we had going, go after Josh Smith who would help our defense incredibly(I know he is injured now but think if he wasn’t) Or just not sign anybody and save cap space. But no we throw out 50 mill.

We need to find some defense, rebounding, and ball movement

The problem is that Biedrins is the only legit rebounder in our starting 5, unless we’re starting BWright or Turiaf. No one except Jack, AB, adn Buike play any kind of defense. Wright and AR are good for blocks, but they get crushed inside. And are starting 5 is composed of ball hogs who live on bad shots, not so sure monta fixes that. But as always I have hope that we’ll figure this out. But i’m more hopeful that there is a Sharks game on…

Hmm, that sucks you started watching till the playoffs started

That whole 06-07 season was one of the greatest moments for me ever as a sports fan. The whole ride was unbelievable (no pun). It’s too bad we never took advantage of the team that we really had, that’s just what the Warriors are: a tease. They give us 2 weeks of great playoff action (after we waited 12 long years), and then they go ahead and break that team up so we can start rebuilding again with the young guys. smh.

If the Warriors lose to the Heat, it's 7 in a row..

Last year they never lost more than 6 in a row so…better hope Warriors win.

I predict, Crawford shakes Dwayne, Randolph blocks Beasley, and It will be a close game but Warriors win by 5, Warriors 113 Heat 108
