Everything in a nutshell
Please stop talking about Baron. He is gone and he does not want to be a Warrior. He'd rather be home and now he's happy. Lets leave it at that.
How can anybody talk about getting rid of Don Nelson after he saved this city. Everyone in this basketball world was actually talking about the Warriors in a serious manner and not some kind of a joke the last couple of years. If it was not for him, we wont have these fond memories of the Oracle covered in yellow and Baron dunking on AK47. Maybe those highlights can take the place of Jamison scoring back to back 50 points on foxsports in the future.
Gerald Wallace is a BAD idea for a trade. If we're going to trade Maggette, we need to get a power forward in return. that's the biggest hole in our team. We don't want to take back all that cash Wallace is due just to get 50 to 60 games out of him a season. Not to mention the fact that our backcourt is already loaded.
We need to keep Belinelli. Have you seen him play lately? He's a smaller version of Peja. He can flat out shoot and the more he gets a feel for the game, the better he will get. And who knew he could pass too. He's got some crazy no look bullet passes. he will never be a star but he'll be a really good role player in this league.
Wright is the real deal. It puzzles me why he does not get consistent minutes but who am I to say, I am not the coach. I would really like to see him get at least 25 mins a game so we have another scorer down low.

ok
we know gerald wallace isnt the best option, but name one power forward that a team will give up for maggettes fat contract…none. atleast gerald wallace rebounds and plays defense
When Maggette missed those consecutive shots in a span of a humming bird’s flap,
Crawford simply looked at the bench and said, "Are you serious?"

G. Wallace rebounds reasonable well for a 3 but he’s not a 4 by any stretch. He’s very similar in size to Maggette. He is similar in that he throws himself at the hoop to get baskets and draw fouls. He gets injured often as a result. He’s usually been a better player than Maggs.
He has a reputation for playing defense and I cannot imagine many scenarios where he wouldn’t be an improvement to Maggs if Nelson played him, which isn’t a given. I have also learned that defensive reputations tend to result in far less impressive realities when someone arrives in Oakland.

yeah your definitely spot on on most of those points, but personally i would much more rather prefer wallace over maggette because wallace just seems to fit our system more than maggette…but if maggs says hes going to “pass and move the ball around”…well just have to wait and see the outcome.

True
Also, true big men are pretty scarce these days I’d say. Teams like to hang onto those guys. Look at what Gortat did to us tonight.

This sounds stupid
but if we’re looking for a power forward, maybe we should go after Carlos Boozer. I know it sounds crazy but Paul Milsap is playing very well right now and Boozer doesn’t want to be on the Jazz anyway. Maybe they would be willing to take Maggette and use him as their starting small forward or a 6th man. We would probably also have to give up Wright and Hendrix. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=49732421703&teams=26269&te=3435:26-312&cash=

good point
but that would’nt have to do with getting rid of maggette, which is the point.

No way in hell.....
Boozer would come to Oakland….besides our owner is too tight with the cash to do anything that sensible!
It's about heart, It's about fight, It's about being a Warrior!

Boozer goes wherever the money is - just ask the Cavs
that said, you’re right about the owner.

Sorry...
But i do not agree. He actually spent a lot of money in the last few months. Just look at some of the players he signed: Monta, Maggette, Andris, Jackson, Ronnie, KA, and not to mention we took on Crawfords contract. We are a big market and I am sure we can pay anything as long as the right player comes along. The only problem is that not too many elite players want to go here

Then
if this wacky idea ever happened, which I doubt, we could let him walk after this season and then maybe be prepared to go after the top free agents in 2010.

Getting Boozer (which won’t happen) and having his contract disappear still doesn’t open up close to enough cap room to go after a top free agent in ’10.

How is it not Nelli's fault
He doesn’t play Wright. Bellinelli only got PT because everyone else was either injured or had the flu. Give BWright 30 minutes in 1 game… and check out his stats.
Keith smart Movement.

exactly
You can’t say, “Why doesn’t Wright play more?” and then defend Nelson. Why didn’t Randolph play tonight? Why does Jackson get to take so many shots? And why does he handle the ball so much? Who thought Crawford was a good deal for Harrington??? Why can’t the Warriors even stay CLOSE to a team missing it’s BEST player?
The answers all point to Nelson.
As long as he’s in charge, there will be turmoil in Oakland, and a team that looks, and plays, pretty much like… this.

i have a feeling
nellie might not be around all season, even though he is still awesome.
by duballers23 on Dec 15, 2008 10:39 PM PST reply actions 0 recs
I honestly cant believe there are people who still like/defend Nelson. Even after he makes terrible decisions time after time!
Siriously, he hasnt done a single thing right THIS season…

We might miss him in the end
But if he keeps coaching like this, we can’t keep him. He is hurting the development of our youngsters. It is so infuriating to see Randolph and Wright ride the pine the whole game, then put them in once it is too late. Between Beans, Turiaf, Randolph, and Wright, 2 of them should be on the court at ALL TIMES!

well wright was sick the last couple games
belli has showed a lot lately, lets see if he keeps it up.
KEEP nellie yes. lets show some heart, something most fans and players dont have these days.
i agree about mags. what we really should do is send morrow down to the jam and bring up hendrix.
by HoLdEmUP on Dec 15, 2008 11:00 PM PST reply actions 0 recs
That would be a good idea except
Nellie like to play 4 guards and 1 center 40 minutes of the game. Hendrix would get in less than Randolph/Wright

Wright is "sick"
Like Harrington had a “bad back.”
He’s “sick” of Nelson’s crap.

everyone gets too old some day...
and nellie’s fat ass is dragging… the guy was a shrud evaluator of talent and used to make adjustments as needed but the gut just got too big. Doesn’t he have a heart condition… someone should push monta off the eliptical and throw Nellie on that thing but it’d probably break… Shift Nellie to GM and let Smart unlease the passion or at least develop these kids…
