Trade Proposal

So heres a proposed trade that I made through ESPN's trade machine.

The deal works out financially, at least according to the trade machine & team-wise it works out as well.

The bobcats are in need of a 20 ppg scorer since they've traded J-Rich away to the suns. They also get unproven Marcus Williams and a shooter in Belinelli. Maggs can provide rebounding at the 3 spot with Raja taking the 2 and Augustin the 1. It opens up their rookie pg's PT. They've been trying to move Wallace out ever since J Rich was traded, might as well round out their scoring tandem.

We get in return, an athletic 3-4 swingman that can play superb defense & a proven distibutor in Felton. We would be running Ellis at the 2 which is his natural position anyways & Jackson at the 3. Crawford & Wallace could become trade tools over the off-season especially for a PF to run next to Biedrins.

What do you guys think?

After trade: W-0 L-82

yep.

It’s completely jackson and nelson’s fault the warriors stink this year. If it weren’t for them the W’s would be a contender… NOT!

lol

theres no way the bobcats will give away not only g. wallace but felton too?! c. maggette for g. wallace alone would be super tough for charlotte too…but giving up felton for belinelli and williams? naww no way man haha…plus warriors already stated that its probably unlikely for maggette to be moved this season unfortuantely.

When Maggette missed those consecutive shots in a span of a humming bird’s flap,
Crawford simply looked at the bench and said, "Are you serious?"

god

how many times do people have to go over this trade… ?

by HoLdEmUP on Dec 16, 2008 7:05 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

the amount of times that jack misses a shot

So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

Why

wouldn’t they want to give up Felton? They drafted Augustin, whom has proven to be more of a scorer and just as good of a passer as Felton? There have been trade rumors surrounding both of them.

Wallace

is also on the trade blocks.

No

I hate Wallace. I mean, I don’t actually hate Wallace, but I wouldn’t really want him on the Dubs.

Not

a bad idea, but the Bobcats said that the only way that they are going to include Felton in a trade is if the team that trades for him is willing to take Nazr Mohammed as well.

by duballers23 on Dec 16, 2008 7:19 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

I'm pretty sure

we could work something out, we are in extreme excess of guards & they are in need of scorers

I have no clue

why everyone is hating on the trade, haha. Fine if it doesn’t work out with YOU, stop sounding so pessimistic.

- iBall, do you?

by iBallGSW on Dec 16, 2008 7:21 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

dude

do you want to know why it wont work out? because trading Marcus Williams and Marco Belinelli for Raymond Felton is just completely lopsided in our favor. Now if Belinelli plays consistently like he has for the rest of the season, then MAYBE the bobcats would consider it…but until then, the bobcats wont do it. you’re basically trading a starting PG for an unproven 2nd year player and another PG that doesnt even get any burn for a 7-18 team.

Even trading Maggs for Wallace is a bit favored our way. Wallace rebounds much better, is more versatile, and actually plays defense. Unless we include B.Wright or AR (which we shouldnt) in the deal or the Bobcats are just complete idiots, this trade wont have the likeliest chance of happening. i would love for it to happen just as much as you, but for all i know thats just a pipe dream, sorry man.

Ummm...yeah

Why the hell would the Bobcats want Maggette? You think Larry Brown would approve that trade? lol. Maggette playing for Larry Brown is like Starbury playing for D’Antoni – Ain’t gonna happen.

I'd rather keep Belinelli

just Maggs/Williams for Wallace

I was in the trade more for Felton tho.

Bobcats will not trade Felton

I will always be your fan JRich. Good Luck

by chili01 on Dec 16, 2008 7:31 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

lol

yeah they will, why did they draft Augustin then? To play backup? Teams don’t draft pg’s to not eventually start them, in this trade they would get Williams as a backup & the bulk of the minutes would go to Augustin starting at the 1.

- iBall, do you?

by iBallGSW on Dec 16, 2008 7:33 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

no

Felton moved to Starting at 2 (SG) and Augustin starting at 1 (PG)

Raja Bell will come off the bench

by chili01 on Dec 16, 2008 7:35 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

That

won’t work for long, how does a two guard lineup consisting of two guards under 6-2 work? We had Baron & Monta but they were both over 6-2 and Baron could match up against 2 guards. They won’t win like that, they’re going to have to trade one of them.

- iBall, do you?

by iBallGSW on Dec 16, 2008 7:38 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

your probably right

they will trade felton away, but theyre gonna want something out of it…not belinelli and williams…

I like the idea but...

the bobcats would never trade raymond and wallace away for maggs, bellinli, and williams…but wait they trade J-Rich for BORRIS Diaw, who nobody has ever heard of, and an old raja bell. It might work

Why

are the bobcats trying to give up everyone anyway? Lebron would he really wanna play for Jordan? I am not getting their moves.

So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

by 24k state fan since 87 on Dec 16, 2008 9:39 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

woah

i just thought about that and i think lebron would want to play for jordan and at te rate of them trading away all there players they will probly get the first pick and take stephon curry and thats like 2 thinks lebron would like jordan and curry on his team
even though 2day they did a mach draft and the warriros got stephon curry!!!

trade Jackson!!!!!!

They would probably trade Felton to us

if we gave them a our first round pick

I will always be your fan JRich. Good Luck

by chili01 on Dec 16, 2008 10:09 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

that's why we give the Marcus Williams

he’s worth a conditional first round pick.

by lightz0ut on Dec 16, 2008 11:03 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

larry brown doesnt like black holes

he wouldn’t trade for maggette due to his contract alone, he wouldn’t party with felton either since he places the most emphasis on his point guard… he values that position over all others ones and is developing quite a backcourt with felton and augistine both playing at the same time…

Wallace… is not on the trading block… especially after Jreezy got traded… they lose wallace and they lose their #1 offensive explosion, and anyways… warriors need a pf or a c… not someone under 6"11… i am a big fan of felton though, he’d fit nicely…

package jackson in that deal and id be down for sure… wallace would play in that spot anyways…

Marcus Williams, what a disappointment

Ellis to the RIM!
Monta for the win?! YES!

by XIAOXIAO on Dec 17, 2008 3:21 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

Marco

he had good performance in the recent games and I think he will earn time to play
he wouldn’t and shouldn’t be traded. Why there are still some dumbass want to trade him?
I think the best way is to trade for a tall PF.Send Marcus Williams and Maggette to trade for the player.

by Belinelli on Dec 17, 2008 4:40 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

Why there are still some dumbass want to trade him?

Cause we got too many soft tweener guards.

Cause we got too many soft tweener guards.

But can’t other players be traded?
Obviously, marco is better than morrow and watson and he is younger than them.
He has shown his ability to Nellie and he will have much more time than before.
I hope he can get the MIP and we’ll have two MIP on the team.

Sorry

This trade is a fail.

This has already been brought up in another thread and broken down. Funny is I got “warned” for bringing up something SIMILAR to another thread. I guess the key is to just wait 2 weeks?
