New Blog: Backing the Pack for NC State Fans!

Looking Ahead...

Not to be the bearer of bad news or anything, but have you seen the schedule? We're 7-19 and in the midst of a 4 game losing streak. That losing streak could very well extend past the previous long of 9. Let's take a look:

12/19: @ Atlanta
12/20: @ Charlotte
12/22: @ Orlando
12/23: @ Miami
12/26: vs Boston
12/28: @ LA Lakers
12/29: vs Toronto
12/31: @ Oklahoma City

With this Warrior team there are no guaranteed wins, only guaranteed losses. Prior to the Boston game, I see one winnable game, @ Charlotte. But even that will be tough considering it's the 2nd game of a back to back and, surprise, Charlotte has a better record than the Warriors. So if the Warriors don't win that Charlotte game, it could be 8 losses in a row heading home for Christmas.

And then...Merry Christmas Warrior fans! You get Boston and LA (the Lakers) for the first 2 games after the holiday. Yay. That could extend the losing streak to 10 games.

Then they come home and face Toronto on the 2nd day of a back to back, far from a guaranteed win.

What are the odds the Warriors go winless for the remainder of 2008? It may come down to how they play in Oklahoma City on New Year's Eve.

How does starting the new year at 8-26 sound?

ouch

i only see 2 wins there max Bobcats and Thunder, but I feel we might not be able to beat the bobcats for some reason.

So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

Man what's wrong with you?

“Are you even a Warriors fan? Why are you so negative? You’re such a bandwagon fan. You shouldn’t be allowed to write for this blog!”

Haha

They have a CHANCE to win all those games

They probably won’t though.

Charlotte
Miami
Oklahoma

These are the most “winnable” games IMO.

If I am wrong i will respond with a D'Oh

I'm sick of it!

god the truth hurts – can’t I just play ostrich? Never mind the retorts on that please!

if nothing else points to playing AR & Wright more, the dwindling prospects of being ANYwhere near 8th should provide a cold slap of perspective as to what our goals should be now …

Nelson foresaw this when he looked ahead at the schedule, but he was ripped for being honest …

8-26

sounds good if we tanking games.

at least reach double digit wins before ending the year. and let our young guys play

I will always be your fan JRich. Good Luck

If Nellie Plays the Young Guys

That would be if Nellie plays the young guys. In that game against Indiana, Brandan Wright played seven or eight minutes and Randolph didn’t even play at all. What’s up with that?

They probably won't go winless

Even if the odds of them losing each of these games is (on average) about 70% , the odds of them losing all eight is only 5.8%.

Yeah, they suck, but it wasn’t that long ago that they gave the Celtics a pretty big scare on their home floor. They’ll probably go 2-6 or 3-5 to close out the year. Woo hoo!

Not Probably

you mean best case scenario is 3-5. Worst case is the 0fer, more than likely we will squeeze out one or 2 wins.

Come on Warriors, we can get to double digit wins before Ellis is back. Lets CHANGE the atmosphere and win some games. Yes we can!

What is the status of our petitions to fire Robert Rowell and have Chris Cohan commit Hari Kiri, or at least sell the team?

When will Monta be back...?

I feel like that could emotionally spur us to some wins.

From what I gather from

Steinmentz, Leper, and MT2, it seems like January 15ish would be a good bet. Check out his media session a week back at 48minutes.net, the kid does sound pumped up about getting back on the court.

Poop

I was hoping to see him when I’m home and go to the Lakers game

I as a Warrior fan am hoping for 0-8

I figure the only way that this team gets better player wise is through the draft, with the 3 horrible contracts of Maggette, Jackson, and recently added Crawford. I’m hoping for the worst record in the league!!!!!

Go Warriors I want Blak Griffin or Hasheem Thabeet!

It's all about the killer cross-over baby!

its very stupid to rely on the draft.

how many busts have we chosen in the last 10 years

by montamazing on Dec 19, 2008 10:03 AM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Too many

And we have the youngest team in the league.
And everyone’s complaining that we don’t have enough time to play the young guys.

Tank? nah. please don’t.

by bradyk2 on Dec 19, 2008 10:16 AM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That's your choice

With Nellie playing his 4 guards and one power forward everg god damn game we won’t have to tank is horrible coaching decisions will do it for us.

It's all about the killer cross-over baby!
