Trade! Trade! Trade!

No more trade! We have to ride it out this season.  We cannot be thinking trades whenever the Dubs play awful. And the rumor about sending either Wright or Randolph to the Bobcats for Felton is a bad trade, I think. I thought the concept behind trading J-RICH was to go big? Getting Felton (good player but not GREAT) in my opinion, is a step backwards, we’re back playing small ball.  If the trade does NOT involve an impact player like Baron (someone who can take over from the get go), FORGET IT!

This season should be devoted developing the young players. They should get more playing time this year to gain experience and most importantly to mold and grow together on the court.

Check it out, a lot of you were ready to ship Belinelli out, but so far he’s proven a lot of you wrong. Seems like the guy is NOT a one hit wonder. So far he is the only one who’s been consistent night after night. And six games out of seven, the guy has been scoring double figures and showing flash of brilliance assist wise and good defense. I still believe this group of Warriors has more talent than last. It’s just a matter of getting playing time to get them going and I think The Nellie is starting to realize that.

We fans just have to suck it up this season and give this group of WARRIORS a chance to flourish. They are young talented players and therefore have no reason why they cannot be contenders in the very NEAR future. So long as ego does NOT stand in the way and they play as a group, I think we fans will see quality basketball for many years to come.

Unless we are getting The Baron back (I know, wishful thinking) or someone better, no more BAND-AID TRADE! Develop the talents we have this year, bring out the best in them, period.

won't happen

"If you hit .440 with 20 bombs, you don't have to do s---. You don't have to bring a glove to practice, just hit and leave whenever you want. You can bring a 40 and smoke a cigarette and call me from the parking lot asking me what time the game is, and I'll tell you. You can even say 'F--- you, Steve!' Actually, don't say that, that wouldn't be very nice." -Steve Friend, Head Coach, Chabot College Gladiators Baseball

I AGREE

it’s over. a trade isn’t saving us, coaching change wont save us. nothing is going to fix this team for this year, or next. we HAVE to get better through the draft. MAYBE AR WILL BE THAT PLAYER. otherwise we can’t just be a DESPERATE .500 club. that’s the worst kind of team. i’d rather be rooting for a 10-72 team than a team barely clasping to 38-44.

Oh…I think a coaching change would save us. But not if you’re measuring success in wins.

No

If we fire Nelly, we’ll be NBA champions!

by rainman120 on Dec 19, 2008 11:20 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

i dont see phil jackson, popovich or pat reilly coming so stick w/ nellie. What we need to do is somehow find a way to dump mags contract…..

i really dont see other coaching getting much more out of over roster. You may think bwright or randolph r world beaters, but they r still far away

Trade

Gee, I’d love to move Maggette and/or Crawford to get a really nice big man. It just won’t happen, though.

by Rated-R Superstar on Dec 19, 2008 9:18 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

best we can hope for is moving hmim for expriing contracts and sign some1 in offseason…..

by Warriors510 on Dec 20, 2008 1:48 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

we're not gunna trade jack ever...

but id love to see maggs gone, id be so happy

also CJ watson is a must go, so is williams

personally i like jack a lot, hes just on a slump cuz hes super emotionally attached to the team and we dont have ellis…so without oru best player we got no chance really…

i really think if we get rid of CJ+maggs+williams for a good big man before ellis comes back, we would be fine (even toss in azabuki if need be)

id be stoked to get amare also :P

also, we need a new coach before ellis is back, AVERY plz

Do not trade big for small!!!

We need a PF! not an average PG.

ya mean like Harrington for Crawford?!

by hardcore on Dec 20, 2008 11:37 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

I am NOT impressed with Belinelli. He looks like a less athletic Pietrus with all his stupid mistakes, horrible passes, and poor awareness.

by sam23 on Dec 20, 2008 12:28 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

what are you talking about? you obviously have not been watching the games…hes been one of the very few bright spots on our team as of late.

When Maggette missed those consecutive shots in a span of a humming bird’s flap,
Crawford simply looked at the bench and said, "Are you serious?"

by gorillas on Dec 20, 2008 12:31 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

I obviously have, but I watch the game, not just the stat sheet. The numbers he puts up are some of the most misleading I’ve ever seen.

by sam23 on Dec 20, 2008 12:41 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

maybe you’re watching jackson then…cause hes the one making the dumb errors and turn overs. plus if you think belinelli is making mistakes, just take into consideration that these are his first REAL nba games that he gets a decent amount of playing time. in my opinion i think hes doing pretty damn well so far.

oh dont get me wrong, Jackson doesnt look any better this year. And I’ll give you Belinelli looking better than I expected, but that doesnt mean I’m impressed. Or the least bit convinced he can keep it up. You probably thought Morrow was the next Reggie Miller too.

by sam23 on Dec 20, 2008 1:09 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

and the best thing I’ve actually seen from Belinelli is that he seems to be tone of the few who makes an effort on D. Perhaps I overstated his suckiness earlier, and I’m MILDLY impressed, but I’m not about to say this guy is going to be a key piece moving forward yet. Ha seems like I’m backing away further from my original statement with every post. I’ll stick with the less athletic Pietrus comparison though.

by sam23 on Dec 20, 2008 1:15 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Ya

The less athletic Pietrus + the passing + the good shooting – the whole stepping out of bounds on a drive. If Marco’s surprisingly good play over the last 6 games (considering that he was averaging like 3 minutes a game before) wasn’t able to impress you, I really am curious as to what would. I bet you were the only fan not impressed after the first night Morrow put in his 30-something points.

by Sebulver on Dec 20, 2008 1:29 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

ummm….Pietrus is a better shooter than Marco genius. And actually Belinelli did step out of bounds on a drive last night. So Pietrus+passing-athleticism and D……hmmmm.

by sam23 on Dec 20, 2008 8:09 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

pietrus better shooter than marco?

i seriously hope your kidding.

by gorillas on Dec 20, 2008 10:10 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

No I’m not kidding, he just is. You buy into the ridiculous stereotype that Marco is a great shooter because he’s a white European. He’s streaky, but overall not a good shooter.

by sam23 on Dec 21, 2008 12:39 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

no actually there were a few of us telling you all to calm the F down after GSoM blew up with “Morrow will be a superstar!” comments the day after his 2 good games.

The guy looks even better on court than on paper. I don’t know what sam23 is talking about. He has been running the offense pretty damn good, and has been making some very crisp passes.

by Sebulver on Dec 20, 2008 12:59 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

hahah sam23 quit talking out of your butt

belli is BALLIN lately. he has been doing a great job of running the offense and he makes shots off the dribble. comparing him to pietrus?! please.

by HoLdEmUP on Dec 20, 2008 4:41 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

comparing him to pietrus?! please.

No way that Marco is any where near the defender that Pietrus is. Belinili might be good in the european league but he’s too inconsistent to be a top NBA player. If we can trade him while he’s hot we would be smart.

how bout this

we trade maggette and a first rounder for baron…..trade bellinelli, randolph for J-Rich and Barnes, and there you go we have the “We Believe” team again… A Man can wish for some good stuff that happened in the past can he. We went from….

Baron to Jack
J-Rich Monta
Jack Biedrins
Monta Maggs…and i cant really name other impact players of
Biedrins ours
Barnes
Harrington
(man if just hadn’t had traded away J-Rich….we wouldnt be in this predicament)

by Dub4lif3 on Dec 20, 2008 12:46 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

or maybe we’d have JRich and Baron but wouldnt have been able to afford Biedrins. It looks like a mistake to break that team up, but you cant really fairly say that we wouldnt be in this predicament….well, I guess technically we wouldnt be in THIS predicament, but we’d likely be in a whole other predicament.

by sam23 on Dec 20, 2008 1:12 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

oh yeah

and trade crawford for sarunas jasikevicious

by Dub4lif3 on Dec 20, 2008 12:47 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

ok, the last one, I promise

trade maggs + crawford + jackson + marcus williams for camby + baron davis + 2nd round pick. Resign Hendrix.

Maggs and Jack and probably Crawford

I will always be your fan JRich. Good Luck
