Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

Rumors have floated for months that the minority owners, who are pro-Mullin and anti-Nelson, are attempting to buy out Cohan. If that's true, it can't happen quickly enough.

Please Cohan if you have any dignity you will sell this team to someone who cares

and give us hope of better times which we fans definetly deserve after all those years of suffering. If not R.I.P GSW basketball.

So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

whoa should of read it first this quote wow!
Yes, Randolph is 19 and plays with crazy rambunctiousness that results in silly fouls and ugly turnovers. But he also routinely makes plays — blocked shots, crushing putback dunks and acrobatic drives — that are beyond any other Warrior’s capability. People within the organization talk about him the way they did Webber, as a singular talent capable of someday making the team a title contender. According to a half-dozen scouts and GMs, he has the potential to nudge out Derrick Rose as the best player in his draft class.

This is the kind of player who “may not fit?”

dam better than Rose?!

of course!

Randolph has size and ALL (i mean all) the tools to be an all time great.

Rose has only part of those tools

the thing that scares me in terms of selling the team..

is that the Dubs will no longer play in Oakland, and be moved to some other city. We need Rowell to sell this team to an owner that has as much passion for this team as the fans do, but someone from the Bay Area.

Hoops in the Bay Area is a gold mine,

why would the new owner(s) want to move this team? Even with a losing product, professional basketball (even college—Cal and Stanford (both men and women teams) are pretty consistently good, and St. Mary’s, Santa Clara and USF pop up on the national scene every so often, and each of those schools teams carry good fan bases) in this region does well. Moving it out of the area would be a huge mistake, so much so that I think David Stern would block any such attempt.

yeah

they are only making money because we are losing. you don’t make money in a winning product if you put all your money to make it.

They also said it was the minority owners trying to buy out Cohan. Not new individuals trying to buy the franchise and move the team.

Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.

theres way too much money in the bay for the team to move...

look…even when we suck…they r making bank

there is no way they would move from the bay…maybe they’d move to a diff city in the bay, but not from the bay all together, would be a terrible business decision.

by DeepS on Dec 24, 2008 11:14 AM PST reply actions

this

is what i was going thorough on my post with this when somebody explained how making bank when we suck is what they want. Look these guys if they are buying the team to win they will realize that they are spending to much to keep the team winning than they find out that they are going to make drastically less than what they would when they suck. If they suck with the new owners you would be complaining more and not go. They start to make no money and figure out where is a place where people are so dumb to sell out the crowd on a team that they put enough money in just to get a good profit.

Just saying our situation is still looking more and more like the Sonics. Whole bunch of conspiracy and screwing the fans

I hope they don't move the

Golden State Warriors to a different city or state. I love Golden State in our name it’s very unique instead of some normal state or something else. I do hope that cohan leaves and just start over in the Front office

ya...

altho i wouldnt mind them moving to SF or San Jose, or anywhere in the Peninsula :)

but they HAVE TO stay in the BAY!

by DeepS on Dec 24, 2008 5:00 PM PST up reply actions

Uh oh

Anthony Randolph will be traded away after his rookie season.

Don Nelson will destroy the Warriors.

The Warriors will not return to the playoffs for the next 14 years.

Hello, 1994.
