Kapono and Barg are not equal in talent to Maggs/Williams but to get rid of that contract I am not completely opposed to the idea.  Oh yeah!!! I am bored at work so sorry for another random trade proposal.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

i would

do this in a heartbeat! im a big bargnani fan. i really doubt the raptors would give up williams for kapono though.

When Maggette missed those consecutive shots in a span of a humming bird’s flap,
Crawford simply looked at the bench and said, "Are you serious?"

I'd rather...

Just get rid of Maggette and let Belinelli shoot all the 3s instead of Kapono, and let a possible star in Randolph start at PF instead of a mediocre Bargnani (although I do like Bargnani).

Well

I can’t say for the main systems but I got mine as a gift for the PSP and I can say 09 has definitely improved from the previous years. The gameplay has improved significantly mainly because they have made defense and rebounding much easier. They also added in Dynasty Mode and a couple new mini games, which were quite interesting. Overall, it’s improved but I think most people, including me, would still agree that 2k is the way to go.

by dajrichshow on Dec 27, 2008 10:23 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Live

is alright its still pretty dumb with the 365 it does not update right like when morrow was good his stats still did not change. and belinelli can’t make a 3 he shoots some air balls still. and the graphics still suck. im a 2k guy all day but i got live for such a great deal from a guy who works at EA so i had to get it.

So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

umm..no?

we really dont need 2 more perimiter players on this team, and soft ones too, or anyone on the raptors besides bosh oniel and calderon.

honestly we need some tough guys on this team, if not a good veteran pg or pf to gelp monta transition to 1 and randolplh become a better 4

You're smoking

you make this trade in a second because of the contracts

Toronto isn’t going to take Maggs at 5 years though

Trade

I’d love to acquire Bargnani if it means that Maggette is out. It’s too bad the Raptors wouldn’t accept it.

by Rated-R Superstar on Dec 27, 2008 11:14 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Good trade for us

But Toronto won’t do this, Bosh might leave and having almost 9 Million tied to C-Mag may make it a hassle to re-sign him.

Hasheem "The Dream" Thabeet or Brandon Jennings. A Warrior in 09.
With the 6th Pick in the 2009 MLB Draft, the SF Giants pick Donovan Tate.
Andre Smith in Silver & Black in 2009.

at Bargnani

will give Marco someone to speak Italian with…other than that i don’t see how he’ll help much

by jimmycaps on Dec 28, 2008 12:51 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

I’d love to think we could get this deal, but I just don’t know if Toronto really has a need for Maggette

by NeifiChicken on Dec 28, 2008 1:51 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

eh

altho it doesn’t really improve our team, it is exactly what you said: a maggette salary dump. i don’t see toronto accepting this unless maggette starts playing, and playing well. in which case, the warriors might reconsider as well…

by Run Dubz on Dec 28, 2008 1:51 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

I Would Keep Maggette For Now

We haven’t been able to see how our team can do with a full healthy squad. We’d really have to wait for next year because I don’t expect Monta to be his old self at all this season. Maybe some games though.

by Golden Boy on Dec 28, 2008 2:26 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

only because bargnani is not going to be a superstar

and he will take minutes from wright and randolph. if we dump maggette, i want an expiring contract.

by HoLdEmUP on Dec 28, 2008 5:48 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

Bargnani’s deal will end in a couple of years. In terms of the Warriors’ present plans, there’s really no difference between a contract that expires this year and one that expires next year. In neither case would they clear cap room to sign a free agent. Any salary reduction for quite some time is merely about making it somewhat easier to acquire other players without hitting the tax threshold. Right now, the Warriors are far too close to the tax for such a terrible, terrible team.

But I agree, Bargnani is not going to be a superstar. He’s got a long way to improve to get to “terrible.”

by jae on Dec 28, 2008 10:49 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Of course

but I don’t get all these dream trade offers. Is this normal on this site? I am kind of new here.

But yes, I would love to dump that terrible contract and Magette who doesn’t really fit the Warriors system. I don’t know much about these two guys, but at the very least we could get them and next year their values are going to be higher because their contracts are expiring after next year and lots of teams would be interested in clearing cap space for the rich free agent class of 2010.

by runandgun on Dec 28, 2008 7:17 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

yeah Raptors wouldn't do this

plus it adds another shooter in the team (kapono) which we already have. It does free us cap space though

I will always be your fan JRich. Good Luck

by chili01 on Dec 28, 2008 12:40 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

we dont have a good shooter, lol… just scorers

by Warriors510 on Dec 28, 2008 1:36 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

well morrow is a shooter

bellinelli should be a shooter IMO but tries too hard to be a playmaker. then again, that’s what we have asked of him recently.

by Run Dubz on Dec 28, 2008 2:43 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

I actually like Bargnani and would give up other players to get him

Instead of Maggs (who I actually think will become a valuable asset to a playoff team trying to a make a run – like the Hornets for example) I might give up Buike or Turiaf to get a big man that is skilled and can stretch the floor. B-Wright or AR? I don’t know but Bargnani is the type of player Nelson can mold into a star.

by terryteagle on Dec 28, 2008 9:48 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Nelson usually gets better performance out of players, but Bargnani can improve a bunch and still be total garbage. Nelson likes versatile players. Bargnani isn’t versatile. He has one skill (a long range shot) and he’s not so stellar at that to make up for the fact that he sucks at pretty much everything else.

by jae on Dec 29, 2008 12:46 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

i’d trade maggette for a vhs of jrich’s dunk contest performances and a baron/kirilenko poster

by gobigg415 on Dec 29, 2008 1:27 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Here's the trade that I would go with...

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=497303932421977&teams=2828289&te=&cash=

We get our biggest weakness filled at PF and Toronto gets a young budding talent in Brandan Wright and a good swingman in Maggette. Throw in Marcus Williams as filler (I would even give them Crawford instead of Williams to sweeten the pot). Not to mention Bosh would most likely opt out of playing in Toronto in 2010.
