With the amount of moaning and bitching that goes on here, it’s like a meeting of the Womens Institute! (No disrespect meant to our fine female GSOM’ers)
Many of you spout forth how much this teams sucks etc, like a bunch of old women.
Maybe it’s time you all grew a pair and started supporting this team properly and the GenderAnalyzer might just swing into the right direction.

There’s no one way to “properly” support a team. Others might not mind the suck, but I as well as many other fans demand excellence. If you really care about someone or something then you want to see them do their very best. This organization historically and currently under Cohan’s ownership hasn’t done anything even approaching that. If we’re dropping serious cash, time, and emotional investment year after year, what’s wrong with us demanding a great product instead of just accepting consumer fraud? It’s not like the non-bandwagoners haven’t been patient enough.

It’s no disrespect to our female bloggers as the majority give a damn site more support to our team that some of the whining men here.
So how is that sexist and ignorant, it actually is in full support of them, but evidently yo have never seen a Womens Institute meeting? I was simply not wishing to put all women in the same pot!
Try and keep up.
Whatever your personal emotions are toward the management and team, you also have a position of responsibility here in that you often control front page articles, therefore other fan sites/fans may look at our page and see….
GSOM – We suck, I hate this guy, what a bunch of losers, blah blah blah.
Therefore by association, many may feel that “All of GSOM” is against the team and believe they suck which is far from the case. But it is hard to get that message across if our front page continually slags off this team.

But with all the censorship and deleting because of “un PC” comments, this site sort of leans on the “femme” side. Rarely see the above type of pic of hot chicks; love Alba BTW! Maybe it’s because were in the Bay Area and it’s a NBA blogsite. If GSOM was based in Dallas lets say and was a NFL blogsite, maybe there would be a little edgier comments. I don’t know…

Wow,
complaining because your team makes the playoffs once in 15 years in a leauge where more than half the teams make the playoffs, seems like a reasonable reason to complain if you really are a fan and stand by this team.
Its also reason to complain when your team has tied up your salary flexibility with 3 solid but not great veterans, not emphasizing youth development, and CONTINUING to loose games.
Thats not ‘being on the rag’ or ‘bitching and moaning’. Its being a fustrated fan of a franchise that seems to be incapable of succeseding or learning frm thier mistakes.

Calm down, he’s not that bad, it’s just that his opinions are on the front page so they feel like they are forced down our throats. It’s understandable to be a little pessimistic these days, seeing as one roots for a team that sucks so long, they have their brief moment in the sun, and then they go back to losing. The only thing is I think he has lost his way a little bit as the ultimate “player’s guy.” He still rants against management, and rightly so, but now he seems to take shots at players as well.
The happy Atma was before “The Run,” because the expectations were low and had been low for so long. Warriors fans were complacent with losing. The exuberant Atma was during “The Run” and for most of the season after, besides the J-Rich trade. The first taste of success was so sweet. The pissed off Atma was after that, because it seemed like the Warriors were headed back to the abyss. He began to hate on anything that represented the break up of that team and defend anything that was part of it (see: Nelson, Don). If 2006-2007 never happened, he probably would still be the same guy, but if you taste success after being starved for it so long, you will not be complacent with losing. The thing that I don’t get is despite the terrible job done by management and Nelson and all that, we still have a very promising team, and at least to me this feels like a setback, not an extended stay at the bottom, and I’d figure he’d be more excited. But I guess not.
Sorry for analyzing your stay here Atma, just my take on things. You were the s**t when I first joined this site.

I was trolling, no doubt (though the question about the gender analyzer was an honest one). He just rubs me the wrong way, and (I’m assuming) vice-versa. But totally agreed that he was the sh*t back when. His posts were just so much more fun to read — not just gentler in tone but also funnier, deeper and more insightful. Anger and a constant political axe to grind tend to make for pretty dull writing.
Anyway, I’m not really objective in the matter, so I’ll go back to refraining from direct confrontation. Props Atma, for not taking my poisoned olive branch. Maybe you have learned a bit.
