Around SBN: Tiger Woods, Tony Romo Grouped Together At Pebble Beach

Rowell responds to Tom and Ralph on questions ranging from Baron to Monta to Jax.

Rowell: "I don't think anybody said we didn't want Baron back. We were very adamant in the beginning with our discussions and in all our discussions with Baron as to where we were going to to protect the team salary-wise and the length of years.

"Frankly, Baron had a better offer in Los Angeles that paid him more money and he went and took it."

interesting

i wish barbieri wasn’t such a cackling douche, so we could hear more of Rowell’s thoughts. Was there a question anywhere in there, or was ralph just saying sh*t for 10 minutes? ugh.

no question thou that rowell is running the show, and that mullin is gone.

"They can trade me," Bonds said. "I don't think they will, though. It's not like I want to be traded, man. I'm a Giant. I'm stuck here till the end."

Rowell on jackson extension..

" We figured we had a guy who wants to be here, has publicly said he wants to be here, has been a big part of where we’ve been over the last couple of years."

He could’ve said the same thing about Baron. Go figure.

let me get this one straight

He was concerned about protecting the team “salary wise” but offered Elton Brand 90 million (the maximum) to come to the Warriors after Baron bolted? I would have loved to hear him explain that one.
