NBA State Tournament - Louis./Miss. (Monta & Big Al) vs. 'Bama/Georgia (D-Ho & G-Wallace)!

With the NCAA Basketball Tournament right around the corner, I decided to create an NBA State Tournament to see which states are producing the best players.

For our first matchup, let's go to the South Region, where #1 seed Alabama/ Georgia faces #4 seed Louisiana/ Mississippi...

Star-divide

I've wanted to setup a tournament like this for quite some time now. Serious bragging rights are at stake!

Where are the best NBA players coming from?

Do certain states excel at producing certain positions? Which states have the most talent per capita?

Most importantly, who's going to go all the way? Help me decide by voting for each matchup, and we'll crown an NBA State Champion right around the time of the NCAA Championship game.

Click here to Read and Vote on the first matchup!

Hmmm...
Off the top of my head, can I claim Illinois? I'd gladly go to war with KG and Wade and a bunch of scrubs.

After doing a bit of cheating, Texas would be a decent dark horse: Deron Williams in the backcourt and Bosh/Okafor/Aldridge up front.

And Ohio, with the King flanked by Redd and Kevin Martin, would be a matchup nightmare.

I voted GA/LA on your poll, because of Superman (TM) alone. I really wanted to pick GA/MS...

Yeah
Illinois will have to get past a solid Ohio/ Indiana team and Texas has Killa Cali to deal with, but they're definitely talented teams.

I'll be posting a new 1st Round matchup every 3 days, so stay tuned...
