A New Name for Brandan Wright

Guys not an incredibaly detailed post but hey.

there was a couple of posts in the win over the bobcats RECAP, that i though id try get a discussion going.

I, along with others, were trying to pick a nickname for Brandan Wright. He may already have one but i was thinking (with a little support)
That "Flight Wright" sounds good and really rolls of the tounge and is something that really sticks out. Maybe even get some comentators saying it.

"FLIGHT WRIGHT TO THE RIM"

Star-divide

if all goes down some one talented at drawing.
(not forcing anyone to make posters)
"COULD" make a poster and try and get it on TV or something.

Just a thought

I thought i'd post this to get away from some ~EYE POPPING~SIGH*
Trade posts :p

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Brandan Wright
B. Wright

Easy, simple, unique, rolls off the tongue.

Much like JRich.

first initial + last name is done...
...i don't want to say it's "so 90's" but c'mon fellas.  like goatees, these kinds of nicknames are being kept alive only by professional baseball players and neanderthal high schoolers.

there is something to the "Flight" theme.  the Wright brothers are credited with inventing flight (don't want to spark a revisionist history debate here), in North Carolina no less (where Brendan went to college), a state that actually has "First in Flight" as its state motto, emblazened across its license plates.

if you're going to build a poster, especially with the dunking image from last Friday's game, why not play on the NC lineage, the sirname Wright, and "First in Flight"? (i see a watermarked image of kittyhawk in the background)

nicknames no longer have to be one word monikers (although i do like the latest Monta one: "Missislippery" - i've been pulling for TooToot (those of you who've gone through all the And1 footage know what i'm talking about)).  they are not used during gamecasts (tim roy and bob fitzgerald do not call Baron "boomdizzle" in real time), and when they start to transcend the game to take on their own identity ("Air", "Magic", "Shaq") it's the result of way more accomplished (and usually a serious marketing angle) than we can pin on Brendan anytime soon.

agreed
the 1st initial plus the last name is old, however it still works with Brandan Wright because it's like "be right".  And I like to think that he "be right" for the future of the Dubs and he will be the dominant low post player that they have been needing. Maybe "flight wright" only when he dunks?  Anyways, I'm going to watch the replay of his dunk from a few days ago because I'm having Warrior withdrawals.

How about...
Something along the lines of the Wright Brothers from Kitty Hawk - the first people to fly.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wright_brothers

I'll call him Orville or Wilbur or Kitty Hawk

Haha, not bad...
I actually like Kitty Hawk. You could also go with Kiddie Hawk.

Of course if it were up to me everyone would end up with incredibly lame names.

First initial... half of a last initial...
I'm just gonna call him "B-Dubz" or "B-Dub-Ya"

2 summers ago when I balled with the homies I told em' to call me
"T-Rob" for Tony Robles coz I be "robbin' fools on the court lol! Before that they just called me "Tim Thomas" for all my uncontested 3's that sometimes went in! (lol)

i
think his name should have something to do with his arm length since thats what is so noticeable about him. Maybe an inspector gadget/mr. fantastic/stretch armstrong theme? Mr. flightastic?
