Trask talking between Lebron & DeShawn Stevenson

I know this isnt DUB related, but I still find this funny.

Lebron James and DeShawn Stevenson have a BEEF I guess going back to when LeBron said something about DeShawn to Drew Gooden, and Gooded went and told DeShawn who became pissed.

Articles found here:

http://dimemag.com/2008/03/20/deshawn-isnt-backing-down/

and

Star-divide

When the Cav's played Washington a week or so ago, DeShawn was trash talking to James the whole game and after they won the game DeShawn said after he SHUT DOWN LeBron:

"He's overrated...And you can say I said that."

LeBron then a day or so ago TRIED to come back and respond by saying:

"With DeShawn Stevenson it is kind of funny. It's almost like Jay-Z saying something bad about Soulja Boy. There's no comparison. Enough said."

Not too creative, THEN DeShawn came back and made this QUOTE:

"I hope we play Cleveland. I'm going to get Soulja Boy courtside seats and have him wear a DeShawn Stevenson jersey. Maybe (James) can have Jay-Z there since LeBron's all on his (shorts) anyway. And tell LeBron to cut that beard off and stop copying me."

To me, I really hope that happens and we see DeShawn bring Solja Boy to the game.

What you all think on this....BEEF....???

Who
the hell is DeShawn Stevenson?

Am I Michael Scott? I don't know. I might just be a basketball machine.

Though he's far from a great player...
I love DeShawn Stevenson.  He's fun to watch and he's always doing or saying something entertaining.  He's kinda like mini-Gilbert (in personality not in game).  He's also an underrated defender and a pretty good, albeit streaky, shooter.  Gotta love the trash talk...peace, dan
ps- whoever said they didn't know who Stevenson better have been joking.  If they were serious, it's a pretty good barometer of the quality of the newer posters that have showed up post-playoff run....

Pretty hard to LOVE this guy...
On June 20, 2001, 20-year-old Stevenson was charged with statutory rape. He was accused of having sexual intercourse with a 14 year-old girl from Fresno. On draft night, he was involved in a fight with high school basketball teammates.

14 years old?!
That's horrible...just horrible.

Yeah
I was just joking.

It just reminded me of when Raja Bell was talking trash about Kobe Bryant during the '05 or '06 playoffs. When Kobe was asked about it, he replied by saying "Who is that guy?" I thought that was hilarious even though I don't like Kobe.

Man, TRASK talking? That's just inappropriate.

haha
edit the title of the thread to TRASH.

idk about you guys, but when players trash talk about one another it makes the game 100x better. just as long as it doesn't end up in a fist fight, i'm all for it. the heart, passion, and pride makes the game more enjoyable to watch.

one of my favorite trash talking moments was when paul pierce and al harrington (his pacer days) was talkin trash back and forth in the playoffs and pierce shot over harrington in his face. sorry al, i know i'm supposed to be supporting you, but that was one hell of a moment.

Trash Talk = more interesting
I agree, when there's beef or at least past history between two players or teams, I'm more likely to tune in. But honestly, unless your initials are MJ and you wear #23 how do you plan on backing up your words against The King.

All this trash talking
is really wierd. Imagine the jocks and athletes from your high school trying to trash talk each other, expect they're doing it publicly and have to keep it clean. At first you think it might be entertaining, but then it turns out to be really lame since they're not too bright and can't think of anything good to say that wouldn't get them in trouble. It's the same thing with CP3 and Skip, Lebron and Deshawn. It's just dumb and immature.

Larry Bird
was one of the biggest trash talkers in NBA history.  As long as it doesn't lead to brawling i think it's fun.

In pick up games when you win it's satifying all on it's own, but when you win after constantly telling a guy that he can't guard you... mmmm that's fun.

OR if you win after the other guy is talking junk at you... damn that feels even better!

I pray i never have to use a gun again.

Love it
You know Stevenson is going to have to back up all this talk when they play, but I don't think it's possible for ANYONE to back this kind of talk up.

LeBron hasn't been challenged in his time in the league at all. He was annointed as the greatest really quickly. It's nice to see someone step up to him for once.

Even if it is a bit unfounded.

trash talk = fun bball
just imagine lebron hitting a few jumpers in stevensons face and then some trash talk begins on court with them jawing at each other. sweet.
