Kosta in a Jam, Redux

Kosta Perovic has been reassigned to the Bakersfield Jam.

As with most things Mulson, this doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Biedrins is out, Weber might be hurt, O'Bryant can't get off his stylish threads and into a uni. So, what could make more sense then to reassign our other true center?

I think it must be the force. They make decisions which appear to make no sense (at least to me) and yet we're 14 games above .500. That's some serious Jedi stuff right there.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

I think it's ok
Even with him suited up, and our big men out, Nellie hardly ever looks that far down the bench anyways. He'd rather run Matt at the 5.

I think it'll be ok to have him at least get some run down in Bakersfield. Hopefully it pays off. It did for POB, didn't it?

Didn't it? :)

doesn't this mean
that they just cleared up a roster spot? maybe they're gonna sign someone/pick someone up off waivers. i mean, what's the point of just dumping a body if you're not gonna replace it in some way?

Nope...
Roster is totally full...

Dosen't matter if someone gets reassinged to the D-league.  Dubs would have to cut somebody and eat a contract to pick up anybody.

Honestly
These moves have no real affect on the team. Because of the fact that we are in such a close race for a playoff spot, Nellie cant afford to run a rookie on the floor. We can't afford to have any slip ups and if that means riding our vets till the end of the season, then thats what its going to be. Unexperienced rookies and players are irrelevant in the current situation we are in, we need to play to win and not for the future or whatever at this moment in time.

Did it!? Did it...
really work for POB. He's not seeing any playing time and hasn't improved much in the 2 years he's been with the W's. He doesn't like being on our team, remember? We're all comfortable giving Bead's minutes to Wright, Croshere, and Webber until he comes back. It's not like Beads is out for the rest of the season. And didn't they send Perovic to Development League in the offseason... they didn't just put him there. He's been there! We don't need him right now. Let's stop worrying about our roster and hope our Jedi Knights will have enough force to do some serious rebounding against the next few teams. Maybe put POB back in the D-league and get Perovic out... yeah, let's do that.

correction...
My mistake. I just checked. They "re-assigned" Perovic to the D-League. Apparently, he played in a game in January. I didn't even notice he was back. Oh well, he's gone again.

lol
anyone know why POB isn't back down with him? since POB desperately wants to be a player and not a watcher. Personally, I'd rather watch a NBA game and get paid while doing it.

You forget that these guys all think they're MJ
Probably without exception, every single guy on the bench thinks he can be a star. Barnes thought he could get the MLE in the offseason last year. Pietrus thinks he's an allstar on a different team and I'm sure POB thinks he could sign for $10mm a year if he only got "his shot." You can't blame them. You can only make it to the top if you have that sort of attitude.

Maybe
Didnt they bring Kosta back to work on some footwork a few months back. Maybe they want to see how well he has progressed by playing in the D leauge. Just something to think about

Maybe...
They are sending him down to get some work so he might be our end of the bench skrub (next season)that a second round project can be. Maybe with more work he can be more than that.Remember that at the end of the season we will lose C-Webb and POB. Possibly more if there is a trade (like say AH).

Richest......
D-Leaguer in Bakersfield. No way he plays under Nelson this season unless we're down to Monta playing center.
Hopefully, Nelson swallows his pride and gives POB and Bellinelli a few minutes here and there. The Orlando game is going to be ugly if we're throwing Croshere, Webber and Harrington at Howard.

Really?
You think skinny a$$ POB would handle Howard better than Webber or Croshere or Al? hehe.
