Carmelo Anthony Arrested!!

Could've at least happened before yesterdays game!

I can't even find any links yet because it just came out, but it's flashing on the "Breaking News" section of ESPNEWS.  Arrested this morning for suspicion off DUI.  Sorry that I don't have links, it's very fresh news.  Check ESPNEWS to see though!

I wonder if this will effect them on Wedney.  Also, I wonder if this was after partying, assuming they're in the playoffs.  I may be over-analyzing, but are the Nuggets getting complacent?

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Man!

Another tease!! I still Believe! Go Memphis! (Assuming the Dubs beat the favored Suns.)

by RubberDubDubs on Apr 14, 2008 11:45 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

too bad

blood tests won't be available for two weeks and the court date is in may. this doesn't effect this week's games.
which just means it'll sully the nuggets run in the playoffs if they make it.

geez it would had great news if.........

it came before yesterday game. Now, we have beat the Suns and the Sonics and hope Nuggets lose on Wednesday just to get in the playoff.

by warriorfan4life on Apr 14, 2008 12:01 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Ahhh

That is a bummer. In less, by some crazy ethical off chance, the Nuggets seek earlier punishment, and suspend him for Wednesday's game.

Not fair...Mr. Practice and Mr. Weed/DUI may make the playoffs, while we don't. At least our players did their crimes before the became Warriors!

GO DUBS!

Just talked with a Nuggets fan...

and he said:

It is probably a bad sign that my first reaction was "thank god he didnt have drugs on him".

As a longtime Nuggets fan, I really wouldnt mind if they had missed the playoffs this year and blew this team up. It is so full of dysfunctional personailites...who would have thought AI would be one of the few voices of reason and good citizens on this team.

See, even they feel our pain! Even they see the ethical wrongness of this all...

oops

Quote was supposed to look like this:

Nuggets are cocky

I watched it on NBA League Pass yesterday. Nuggets sideline reporter said they're saying "We got this." At least be more humble. Last year @ Portland, Nellie was at least saying how tough the Blazers can be and they're going to want to play real, real hard for their home crowd. Denver Nuggets are Nuggets that are the little turds that you can't flush down the toilet.

I hope they lose to Memphis

For more than just the W's sake.

YES!

The Nuggets can't beat anybody BUT the Warriors....

And now, Anthony gets caught with a DUI at a critical time. The Nuggets are kinda like the Clippers last season. They lost it for us. Now, I really hope we can snag a first-round matchup with New Orleans!!!!

Zorgon...

I love you, man. You just totally made me feel like we have a better chance of making the playoffs than missing them. Of course, I felt for sure Houston would win yesterday, so I guess I shouldn't trust my intuition...

Trust me, man

no Carmelo Anthony means they're done. They don't have another guy who can fill his scoring hole, unless Eduardo Najera or Linas Kleiza catches fire. Oh, wait, they do that every game. :-(

Haha

True, for better and for worse. Saintdee is right, unfortunately, this won't effect him on Wednesday, unless the team takes action.

lol

melo won't be affected by this probably until next season. Heres me hoping he gets suspended for 10+ games for being a idiot. Drunk driving is no joke.

by saintdee on Apr 14, 2008 12:23 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Well...

Arguably the Warriors missing the playoffs was due to Jackson being suspended the first 7 games. Here's wishing the same fate on Denver!

wergsd

a dui is run-of-the-mill.
firing off a strap at a strip club - and even being associated with ron artest personally - is an egregious affront to the image of the nba.
melo might get suspended but it certainly won't be more than five games.

i certainly do hope that melo is mentally effected on wednesday and that smith, kleiza and najera can't contribute more than they already do.
memphis beat l.a. at l.a. let's just keep reminding ourselves about that victory attributed to memphis!

I don't see

how this will affect the game against Memphis. The Nuggets are stacked even if the league decided to suspend Melo, which I doubt Both teams suck at D but the Nuggets can just pour it on. Iverson has been playing like crazy the last few games. He's a killer with mad heart, I don't see him allowing a depleted Memphis team beat them. NO WAY

I rather not get my hopes up over something like this. I'm just going to get hurt again!

Makes a Great Fanshot

For posts like this that are so short and are pretty much just links, let's try using the Fanshots. Let's keep Fanposts for something substantive and lengthy.

We appreciate all your patience as we work out the kinks in the system. Thanks.

My bad

I haven't quite figured this cool new system out yet!

No problem at all my good man

As you've probably seen on the front page today, we're still figuring it out too!

by Atma Brother ONE on Apr 14, 2008 1:18 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

True that

But while we all fight to figure it out, like good Mr. Foyle used to fight for PT, the show goes on looking quite nice. I must say the new GSoM is b-e-a-utiful!

lmao

Now that's golden.

I never really liked the dude. Good baller but eh.

AI > Melo

That looks like me trying to look thugged out

After a night of too many games of beer pong. It's hard to thizz face after 12 beers.
