Lottery

Is it wrong that as a Warriors fan I am more comfortable in the lottery than in the playoffs? It's a sickness... or maybe just a way of coping.

nope

i am indifferent right now. It was a great season even without the playoffs. We had some laughs some tears. Hopefully we draft someone useful this year.

Haha, no surprise...

You have been emotionally distancing yourself from success for weeks. Lowered expectations are a great way to avoid disappointment. =P

Seriously though, you are right as soon as the sting wears off we will see what a successful year this was.

lottery

we’re better off lottery bound than playoff bound right now. We’re not gonna get any far in the playoffs than we did last year. If we get lucky enough and win a series against Lakers or Hornets, we still be facing the Jazz most likely. Not to mention, the exhaustion taking a toll to our players. Playoffs are scheduled like every other day right with really small breaks.

Also, our draft position changes drastically if we are to make the playoffs. We now sit at 14 with some chance to move further up. If we make the playoffs, half of those Leastern Conference teams will be ahead of us in draft seeding.

Plus, this was not a failed season. It was a season of revelation. We now know that this team is really capable of winning games. That last year was not just us getting hot and lucky. But we also found out that this team is still not a legit contender just yet.

This offseason, either we make a commitment on the development of our young guys or we make a huge move to improve the team. Either way, a lotto pick would come in handy.
