Josh Smith is very confident that his 37-45 are going to be able to take down the 66-16 Boston Celtics.

"We'd be bigger fools not to believe in ourselves, especially after the way people have bashed us the past few years. Why shouldn't we think we're going to shock the world? The Warriors showed everybody that it's not impossible."

except

the warriors beat the mavs in the regular season series as well. Also our coach knows Dirk’s weaknesses. The stars aligned for our victory. Same can’t be said about the Hawks as much as I wished they could win.

Funniest story of the day

saintdee is right. We had momentum, we had an insider’s advantage, we were in their heads. I remember Al Harrington’s quote: Nellie doesn’t know a little, he knows a lot. He knows how they lay the floor, turn the lights on, everything. We’re like computers, whatever he tells us to do, we do it, and it works.

Er...

Probably not.

One good way to put the hammer down on upstart teams like the Hawks is to play constant, tenacious defense that chokes the youthful exuberance out of them. 90-68 as I write this, as Powe jams in JSmooth’s grill.

Warriors, take note…

Sign ^^^^ !!!

the warriors had

a fully developed leon powe… Jrich. I swear there is a big resemblance!

by thecitygirl on Apr 20, 2008 11:32 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Definite family resemblance

Only Powe is a few inches taller and plays a position we actually need. And JRich makes approximately 20 times what Powe makes.

More importantly, neither JRich nor Powe would have transformed the Celtics (or the Warriors) into the absolute beast the Celtics are now. That guy played in Minnesota, and that ship has sailed.

I predict the big "upset" to be

Philly beating the Pistons and taking the series. I never really paid much attention to the eastern conf. teams, but watching them play today left me impressed (and I’m not just saying this because I’m originally from Pennsylvania either!). They run the floor, shoot and also play good D. I’m surprised they ranked as low as they did. Or maybe the Pistons were having a really bad day – I don’t know, but Philly sure was playing like a well-oiled machine.

Yeah

I was surprised Tayshaun took the usual Chauncey shots. Well Chauncey wasn’t himself and all that’s left is Sheed and look how it ended.

Boston is better than Dallas

Golden State is better than Atlanta.

I hope ATL loses

and they choose to blow it all up this offseason!

J-Smooth and J-Child to the Dubz. Problem solved.
