Setback should be good for Warriors push

The Warriors have been playing possessed up until this trip to the Texas Road-eo Show.  The team was up for a small let down (a couple of blowouts)  after not losing back to back games since January.  The big picture shows that the Dubs have won the games they are suppose to and unfortunately they have lost a couple they were supposed to (on the road in Texas).

All is fair in the NBA. (kinda)

It comes down to a 7 game season here. History shows that they will buckle down and go on a serious run to end it all (last years run to the playoffs - eh em). They have 4 games at home and 3 on the road. Win 6 and they are gonna get in taking into account that both the Mavs and Nugs have pretty tough schedules and realistically 1 of those teams is gonna go 3-4 god willing.

No room for error, no sense in looking back. Baron and the boys are in for a battle and we as Warriors fans should expect noting else, up to the final buzzer.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Stephen Jackson will bounce back from 2 terrible shooting games and nail four 3's in a row..

contrary
this is more of a reality check than a "wake up call". Dallas and San Antonio at home are very unrealistic "W"'s.

warriors are done
all season long, ive watched the warriors make this fantastic push, showing the nba that they are legitimate playoff contenders and not some fluke of last season. after watching the warriors play down this final stretch towards the playoff, i finally figured out the intangible that seperates the warriors from the others.

consistency.

im sure people will say, stack jack has confidence coming out his ears, baron is mr. clutch, etc. but thats what i see lacking down the stretch. everyone knows when the spurs are at home, they are going to take care of business, especially against sub 500 teams. warriors? i see memphis coming up and find myself praying they dont drop 3 in a row. this team just isnt consistent enough. and in the playoffs, you can't afford to have off nites, cause 1 game is usually all it takes to lock a series.

when the season ends, and the warriors are on the outside looking in, im not going to be looking at the fisher flop game. i wont be looking at jackson's 6 game suspension at the start of it all. ill be looking at the home losses to chicago and seatlle. ill be looking at minnesota breaking their 20 something consecutive road losses in oracle. ill be looking at all the close games that came down to the wire against teams we should be clowning. ill be looking for their confidence to win championships

oh, and for any of the haters who say, blah blah blah look where we were 2 years ago and look where we  are now. email davis and jackson and nellie. im sure they will all do backflips that they are looking at a lottery season....BUT ITS BEEN FUN!!!!

The Warriors are what they've been all season
A work in progress.  Nobody anywhere considers this team complete.  Playoffs is a means to an end.  If they won the championship this year, would that legitimize the Warriors and their style in the eyes of NBA fans?  No.  We need to improve as a team.  I think it'll be best done by playing a series or two in the playoffs.  I just hope the front office doesn't blow everything up if they miss the playoffs.  BD/Al/Jax are all still in their prime.  Monta/Beans/Buke/BWright/CJ are young and WILL be better next year.  What do we need?  Some sembalance of a defensive mindset.  That's all.

I agree
when the Warriors buckle down on defense, which they have shown the ability to do, especially during the stretch after Stackjacks suspension, they are a good team.  Add to that less 1 on 1 play (10 assists AS A TEAM against dallas is downright pathetic) and i think the Warriors are among the elite.

I also really don't get how anyone can call the Warriors inconsistent.  I'm pretty sure that the Warriors went the longest of any team in the league without losing back to back games.  If that's not consistent, I don't know what is.

We Believe Part II: Some unfinished business
Come on guys.I think this team can do it. Inconsistant? Well we may shot inconsistantly and lose to some bad teams but we are not inconsiant. If we were, they why did we lose back-to-back games for the first time since January. We may not win a championship, but we need to keep up the support. I know Baron is telling everyone to cut the shit right now and play basketball. And honestly, anyone who thinks the warriors should stop Nellie ball must not have been a fan for that long. You want to go back to the days where we thought 35 wins was good. NO! Nelsons style of play has reenergized the whole organization. We are still missing pieces of the puzzle but we have a team that can win on the road, doesn't lose back to back games very often, is extremely resiliant, and is clutch. Those are what playoffs teams are made of. Real fan believe until we are elimiated. LETS GO WARRIORS!!!!!!!

We can go 5-2
But will that be enough?

Our last victory in New Orleans may have given us unrealistic expectations about that game. The fact is, we were playing out of our minds on offense, and down the stretch run it hasn't looked like those midrange jumpers will go down.

And winning at Phoenix will be VERY hard as well.

However when teams get healthy they can sometimes pull everything together and start gellin like Dr. Schulz. I think that could/will happen when Pietrus gets back, which could propel us to victory in Phoenix.

I will assume we win everything else, because if we don't I'd say we are automatically out. And if we really can't beat the Sonics, Grizzlies, and Clippers, we don't deserve the playoffs.

I still think they will get in, but today was the first time since last November (0-6 start) that I thought about the Warriors in the lottery. If we do get in the lottery, no more projects. Let's get a four or three year player that can immediately contribute. I'm sick of having a thin bench.

history shows?
History shows that the dubs have only made the playoffs once in the last 13 years, thats what history shows.

Schedules favor the two other teams, and they are both playing better than us and they are ahead of us, and they both just beat us..

I believe... but i have to admit that its not lookin so good for us.

WE BELIEVE 2.O
Must start here... I think it will help the team if everyone goes to Oracle Arena with the WE BELIEVE shirts again... We have to help them just like last year!
I just wanted to post what Baron wrote on his Blog today:
"Boom here, the last games of the season are here and this is the time of the season when we hope to get our team playing its best basketball, anything can happen in the West. Its been a long season but I am feeling great. Off the court, my new album is coming out May 1st, pick that up!!! APRIL FOOLS!! Lol. Yall should definitely know I'm focused on taking my team as far into the playoffs as possible, no time to make music. Lol. I do have some info for my young fans though, I am having my basketball camp in Oakland from July 21st to the 25th. I will definitely be there to teach all the NBA tricks and even more important the true fundamentals of the game. Its my first year doing it in Oakland, the past years in LA have been a lot of fun, and I hope to have just as much fun in the Yay area!!!! Visit RSOA.net to learn more about that. Right now I'm listening to 2pac, all eyes on me, its getting me hype before games. Ya Digg!!! Each game from here on out is a must win for us. So for now, I'm out!!! "
