"We Believe" Paul Wong's story...

I'm not sure this article has been posted up yet.

Reading Paul Wong's story is very inspirational in the idea that what he intended in the "We Believe" slogan contained a deeper meaning.  I'm sure fans of any sport would enjoy this article because it touches on things which transcend sports...

At the same time reading this story has reinvigorated my belief that the Dubs can do this. We know that they are capable...I hope it does the same for you guys...

wow
much respect to Paul Wong. It's amazing how one fan can spark a whole movement like that.

not to expect something out of it..
but anyone else bothered that "he said he never got a single autograph, never got a chance to meet any players and still had to pay for his 2007-08 season tickets."

Not saying give everything to him, but maybe some gesture to actually get him something worthwhile. I mean, they did just take his idea without him asking money for it.

I read somewhere the Warriors
offered to cover the cost of all the signs he made and passed out, but he turned them down.

I think...
It was the reporter embellishing   the story on what he did and didn't get. I spoke 2 him recently and Paul's a wonderful guy.  I don't get as much press as him but from time to time people ask me if the Warriors organization give me anything for the signs I do and the best thing the organization lets me do is go down to the shoot around during the game. I'm an upper level season ticket holder and its hard to go downstairs sometimes butfrom time to time, the reps escort me down and let me hold up my signs to the players at a visible position.

That's all that matters for me- seeing our team smile with the illustrations I draw up. If money were ever involved, I'll let the big guy up above sort that out for me. For now, I'm just lovin' it and havin' fun!

...and it's like that! Coz' that's the way it is... Dubz!

that's probably the case
The article to me make it sound like the Warriors didn't care about anything but getting the sign.

I'm sure despite the media and all that he probably had some memorable experience involving the organization out of it.

Totally...
One thing that can get real tiresome at games for me w/ my signs is average fans telling me how 2 market and make mad cream off my signs... they forget the fun put in to each one illustrated and spill idea's featuring dollar signs. Its funny, for every sign make I try 2 get away with making them more cost efficient in production on my end. They don't grow on tree's lol.

...and it's like that! Coz' that's the way it is... Dubz!

this
shows how one guy can literally create a worldwide sensation. every sporting even has someone saying we believe now and its like a normal thing. i wish i created a slogan like that... i better start thinking of one.. na this guy deserves it all nobody should screw it up.
