Bandwagon

Just wanted to let the Fans know!!! Some Warrior fans quit believing early on any die hard  fans will keep believing, regardless of how our scenario looks. In some of these posts we see pessimistic fans, which equate to bandwagoners. They will believe with the rest of us true fans, once we're in the post-season again!!!

Go warriors. Until the last game.

Sometime it takes fate and other teams to lift us into the 8th spot. Either way I'll take a Sonic win over Denver anyday. Just hope they don't ruin our last game off the season. Great Quote from Fantasy Junkie, "Go Warriors! Whether you were a fan since before anyone knew who Rick Barry was, or you started during last year's playoffs, we all bleed Warrior blue. Warriors Nation is not divided. We stand together. We root together. We rock the Oracle together. We Believe together."

there's a difference
between being a bandwagoner and a realist. just because someone didn't have a lot of hope after the loss today doesn't make them a bandwagoner or a fair weather fan or any of that.

exactly
I'm no bandwagoner or fair-weather fan.  I too am a realist, but I still BLEED with this team.  I'll still cheer for them, and continue to TIVO and watch all games of the season regardless of their importance..

but as a realist, i'll bet my Mercedes that the Dubs miss the playoffs.

Prepare for Glory (Part 2)
Ok now kids, let's can it with the pessimism.
These comments are indicative of the "new" fan with the inflated expectations that go along with it. Come on now people, let's have some fun! If you were around in 2000 and witnessed the worst season in franchise history, I doubt you would be so whiny right now. And even if you were there, you should still be ashamed of yourself for such shameful transgressions. Regardless of the outcome of the season, what ever happened to simply enjoying the thrill of competition? Wake up, smell the coffee and just get ready for an epic Thursday! In the spirit of the true warrior; no retreat, no surrender, that is warrior law! Or you can choose to cower like a photian, and abandon the goat path!

Prepare for Glory!

'enjoying the thrill of competition'
i said i'd still TIVO and watch the games..  i have nothing to be ashamed of, i'm a realist who's been there through the ups and downs.  I was a Dubs fan during Nelsons first tour of duty.

This current squad just doesn't have what it takes.

It's like rooting for the Iraqis to out power the Americans in war.  You can believe all you want but i'm sure you know the outcome.

Go With The Flow
I don't believe nor disbelieve. The reason I say that is because I don't want to get my hopes up, and what if we don't make it. On the other hand, of course I don't give up. That's why personally, I say I support and cheer. That's all I can do. Either way, of course I want us to go, but regardless, this season in no way, shape or form is a failure. Just the credit the Western Conference for being too damn good. Oh yeah, and just because the Blazers and Kings aren't going, it's safe to say they are good teams too.

Hopes, I would rather have people hope then be pessimistic. Hope that we will win or that we make it what does thinking we lost do? nothing just hope for the best...

in all seriousness
with all the flak ive been getting at least today(as well as the other pessimists), let me speak for myself..

If you are a real Warrior follower, how can you TRULY put your hopes up BLINDLY on a team that made the playoffs once in 13 years. At this point in my years as a warrior follower my mind is conditioned like Pavlov's dog not to put my hopes up to the point of being goddamn IRRATIONAL.

I was once like the most of you, cheering for anything and everything the Warriors did, a mere change of unis and i got stoked.  when they played at the San Jose arena I was going nuts, when we drafted Tim Young I was going crazy.  But over the years I have learned due to the failures year after year, after the parade of coaches. losing seasons, embarassments etc not to take everything the Ws offer.  Does that make me less of a fan than anyone of you?  YOU DECIDE.

I dont need to tell all of you that I cried like a little wuss when we clinched against Portland last year.  I cried to the point that my wife had to calm me down.

I have a way of supporting my team, if you don't like it...well go watch the Giants.  I would but I do not know a lick about baseball and do not intend to learn the game.

Thank you and that message was brought to you by Cache Creek Casino and the letter W

well
there could be one day where there would be a filipino point guard. i know there wont be anything higher than that especially for a race when 5'8 is already a giant! thank god im 5'11 and im pure. maybe a mistiso could play or a half black pinoy, but i don't know about a pure doing in my lifetime at least. unless somehow filipinos start having crazy growth spirths and could actually jump high. because they already know how to dribble and shoot.

i think
ive mentioned it here...The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers got a pure pinoy in their lineup: Japeth Aguilar, 6'10. he only played 3 games this seasson though, although I saw him a couple of times during their Tournament run sitting on the bench.

talk about die hard. I watched the whole 2nd half Seattle/Denver game just to see them lose.
