Unite Baron With His Twin Rick Ross?

I think this idea might really work for both teams. With the champion Spurs practically the oldest team and the rest of the west getting younger, I believe we're in the middle.. with Baron,Jack, And Al trying to win a championship in the imminent future and with our young guns who are still trying to develop and find their true NBA skills. I just don't think the team is on the same page. Straight Up, Trade Al Harrington, Baron Davis (sign and trade), AND Jax to MIA for their 1st round draft pick (projected 1 overall), Udonis Haslem, Daequan Cook, And Dorrell Wright. Hear me out on this one. Dwayne Wade gets more than he bargained for with thhree potential All-Stars (in the Eastern Conference) And they are in CHAMPIONSHIP MODE. seemed to work with Boston this year. Also with Key free agents on the market this particular year, who wouldn't want to join a team with Baron, Jax, Wade, Al, AND MARION !? For our Dubs. We compete with the best of the best in the future. Question is.. Who do we draft with the #1 Overall Selection in The 2008 NBA Draft?

Miami:

Head Coach: Erik Spoelstra

PG: Baron Davis, Jason Williams, Marcus Banks

SG: Dwayne Wade, Ricky Davis, Blake Ahearn

SF: Stephen Jackson, Kasib Powell, Alexander Johnson

PF: Shawn Marion, All Harrington, Stephane Lasme

C: Mark Blount, Alonzo Mourning, Earl Barron

Golden State:

Head Coach: Keith Smart (Can't imagine Nellie running this roster)

PG: Derrick Rose(1st pick), Chris Duhon, CJ Watson

SG: Monta Ellis, Marco Bellinelli, Daequan Cook

SF: Donte Greene(14th pick), James Jones(FA), Kelenna Azubuike

PF:Brandan Wright, DeVon Hardin(44th pick), Udonis Haslem

C: Andris Biedrins, DeSagana Diop(FA), Patrick O'Bryant

.

The Logistics of this trade is way off.

1. Why the hell would Miami take in 30 Million worth of Cap?
2. 30 Million of our Cap for their 1st and alot of their young players?
3. You have to match Salaries for trade. 30 Million vs 10 Million not even close.

Do your HW before you make a very, very not so smart trade diary. Or stop using NBA 2k8.

its

a bad move. We’d have to at least get Marion in return for trading Baron.

It's Been A Great Year! Thanks Warriors!

Wow

While we’re at it, we might as well trade Haslem for Garnett, because seriously, they’re in “CHAMPIONSHIP MODE” and could spare one of their Big Three for our pathetic new team…

HAHAHAHA!

You serious??

by gWARRlORSs on May 10, 2008 8:34 PM PDT   0 recs

oh hella naw

that trade is way out. And Stephen Jackson isn’t a all star. he is only a good team player.

trade blogs

im gettin tired of these ridiculous trade blogs, im pretty sure last year we made the playoffs for the first time in 14 years and this year we had the best record since then, why try to rebuild?

by FeartheBeard4 on May 11, 2008 5:45 AM PDT   0 recs

as ridiculous as most of them are

arent trade blogs sort of like one of the main features of GSOM? Kicking ideas around is part of being a fan. Nobody makes you read them anyway, youre free to ignore them. Like I said, most of them are lame or ridiculous, but getting upset about them is even more so.

Re: as ridiculous as most of them are...

I was under the impression that the freedom of the internet included even bad ideas….but in defense of the apparently offended, it was not the greatest scenario. It’s OK to not agree, but what’s wrong with being a little respectful about it, it’s not like the trade idea is an indirect verbal attack on anyone’s mother. Oh, happy mothers day by the way.

by passionately objective on May 11, 2008 8:49 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

that was my point

its fine to ridicule the trade idea all you want, I have no problem with every single other post here. I just dont get the point of whining about seeing all these trade scenarios. You can usually tell from the headline if its another trade scenario so if you hate them so much just ignore them!

by sam23 on May 12, 2008 9:16 AM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Sorry I wasn't clear

I was in agreeance with you. :)

by passionately objective on May 12, 2008 1:22 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

ha,

and I was in agreeance with you! I was just emphasizing my point. I know mont8ellis isnt doing the 5 minutes of work he should do before he posts, but the “oh no, another trade diary, (whine, whine whine) you suck” posts are ridiculous.

by sam23 on May 12, 2008 4:14 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Yeah,

and I would go into a rant about how much people like that irritate me as well, but that would make me the same as them. So I’m not going to do it, meaning I’m not going to emphasize how that makes me feel, even though by emphasizing that I’m not going to emphasize it is basically the same thing as putting emphasis on my feelings towards those types of people. : )

championship mode

Warriors need Baron and Jackson may start out the season 0-7 again like last year and miss the playoffs. We just need to add to our core, and get a solid bench, I like Duhon, James Jones, Ron Turiaf, etc. but we have to be careful of $$ as next year power players like Milsap,Maxiel, Landry, Bass will be available for Mullin to make a move on and we will need to clear salary cap room for flexibility. Mullin will probably sign bench players to 2 year contracts with team options to see how they mix with the team before breaking the bank. Our 48 win team with a deeper bench and quality draft picks and cap flexibility will enable us to make the playoffs next year. Big Al played his way off this team last year and should be moved for cap space or draft picks.

by shootda3 on May 11, 2008 8:10 AM PDT   0 recs

Gotta

agree with shootda3 . The reason we didn’t make the playoffs was because of our weak bench. Good teams have good bench. We somehow managed to win 48games by riding on our Big3. IF i was Mullin, i would try to build a stronger bench and not tamper wth the core!

brb, going to ORACLE

by warrior510 on May 11, 2008 10:15 AM PDT   0 recs

asdf

I’d suggest next time you decide to go wasting diary space, you should atleast know the basics of trading players, including that the salaries need to be similar in value. You couldn’t be more off in your scenario.

Stephen Jackson catches on the wing and faces up against Vujacic. When Jax looks down and sees Vujacic, his eyes light up. He pulls out his nine, screams "Thug Life" and empties the clip, then drives in for a basically uncontested layup.
