OPEN THREAD: Day 26 of the 2k8 NBA Playoffs

I think Maurice Evans wanted to feel like he was on the Pistons instead of the Magic

The Pistons aren't coasting through the playoffs? After taking care of the Magic in game 5 to close out the series, I'd say Detroit is the favorite to represent the East in the Finals no matter what happens in the Celtics-Cavs series. Even without Billups, the Pistons were able to send the Magic to the offseason.

In the other game, the Spurs vs Hornets, New Orleans once again was able to pull away in the 3rd quarter. With a 28-11 3rd quarter, the Hornets continue to make the necessary halftime adjustments (at home) to get them the key wins they need. It's amazing how this Spurs team with all of those experienced veterans is getting killed in the 2nd half of away games. Is Bryon Scott outcoaching Greg Popovich?

Hit the jump for tonight's matchups.

A couple of 2-2 series matchups go to Game 5 tonight.

 G5: (4) Cleveland Cavaliers @ (1) Boston Celtics (Series Tied 2-2)
5pm, TNT

Boston can't win on the road even with all of those veterans. They're undefeated at home. In fact, they're killing teams at home. If Boston loses tonight, my oh my, they'll be in BIG trouble. But they won't lose.

G5: (4) Utah Jazz @ (1) Los Angeles Lakers (Series tied 2-2)
7:30pm, TNT

Utah proved to be tough at home as the Lakers couldn't steal one in Utah. This series is guaranteed to go back to Salt Lake City, but first game 5 in LA. I expect this one to be a great game to watch. Utah's stars have their confidence back and Kobe is coming off a back injury that limited him in Game 4. Looks like it's going to come down to the last few minutes of the game. After it's all said and done, Lakers win.

Post your Golden Picks and any playoff game thoughts in the comments.

Well

this time the Jazz is putting up a good fight and staying close with the Lakers, but the Lakers have edged them out so far in the first half.
